SmackDown High Tails It with the WrestleMania Finish Line in Sight...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Happy WrestleMania Eve! So, there’s plenty going on of course but only a few things that caught my interest. This is going to be a full weekend so I’ll keep the posts short. You’ll probably get tired of me. We’ll be talking until Tuesday. Let’s get to it.

So, we’ll start with some promising news as Big E. gave us a status update. He’s mending but still not mended from what I hear. The key to when Big E. can return relies on how the bones in his neck ossify. Hard to say when that process completes but he is rehabilitating all that he can in the meantime and remains hopeful as he always has been. Naturally, we’re all hoping for his safe return but of course we don’t want to rush him. If Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan is any indication of how long a neck injury takes to fully heal, this may take 2-3 years. We’ll wait.

In other news, Mr. Vince McMahon has legally and officially laid claim to…himself. He has been reinstated, to a degree, as Chairman for the next 2 years and has full jurisdiction over his personage. This basically means he keeps rights to his name, likeness and all that. Many feel this is in anticipation of an imminent sale of WWE but I won’t jump to such conclusions. We all know that if a sale is to be truly successful, it has to go to the right buyers and to be honest…not sure they exist and if they do, I would have no idea who they would be. Besides, for what the product currently is, it’s doubtful anyone really wants to pay $8-9 billion for it. I don’t doubt that in optimum condition it could be worth it but let’s be honest, has it ever been perfect? The talent is stellar, no doubt, but the full product has yet to reach its full potential. But as with everything, we’ll see what happens.

That pretty much brings us tonight’s Go-Home SmackDown. The headliner is a final face-off/showdown between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Get the feeling that Rhodes will have the proverbial last laugh this time since Reigns gave the burn last time around. We’ll also have the memorial Andre the Giant Battle Royale. I believe MadCap Moss was last year’s winner so we’ll see who gets it this time. And at some point, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will team up to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci but something tells me this won’t end well given Sheamus and McIntyre aren’t seeing eye to eye at the moment. For all the other action, you’ll have to watch. You guys know where to find me and if you don’t, you’ll know by Tuesday.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
