RAW Sends Us Once Again to Elimination Chamber...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

It’s a rainy one in Southern California. One I’m glad to have the day off. Just get to stay inside and curl up with some good TV & a nice cup of tea. As for the latest news in the Wrestling World, well there are a few things but nothing earthshattering. Shall we start our little chat?

First item of business is that it appears a law firm has taken it upon themselves to seek justice for any who have fallen prey to the old WWE guard. They are attempting to file a class action lawsuit against Vince McMahon and anyone affiliated with sex abuse allegations. WWE itself is also a named defendant.

This is not a good look, that is for sure. If there was any hope of this blowing over, it may take a year or 2 if this lawsuit comes to pass. Many commenters feel that some sort of punishment should be issued but the suit itself can be proof of one of the crux’s of human nature, greed.

As much as “championing justice” can be issued as the motivation, no one tries to take anyone to court without having some sort of incentive be it judicial or monetary. Shaking down a billion-dollar company could give anyone some motivation to “seek justice”.

The McMahon camp allegedly affirms that the motivation for recent claims is money above all else yet, with a law firm now looking to milk the situation, it may behoove them to settle. I believe the dispute revolves around $3 million. They may want to pay whatever’s outstanding plus a little interest just to get the matter off the table.

It doesn’t stop others from pursuing a class action suit but it takes a little wind out of the sails. $3 million and change is less than hundreds of millions of dollars which is the jugular vein a law firm may be motivated to hit. I would make like the Lannisters and honor debts. Makes it easier to see who just has their hands out.

In lighter news, Ryback gave an update to his in-ring return. Apparently, a back and shoulder injury are what took him out of action. The back injury has been addressed and is supposed to no longer be an issue yet the shoulder is a different matter. If Ryback can get the shoulder up and running, his return would be imminent.

Many commenters feel that no one wants him, though. He’s argumentative and somewhat out of touch. Many feel those aspects make him more trouble than he’s worth. At least CM Punk earns his keep. A promotion would just have Ryback, it would seem and I can see what people mean.

His rhetoric does seem a little off-kilter but comically so. The question becomes can Ryback get in on the joke. We kinda laugh at him right now. Could we ever laugh with him? I would like to think so but let’s just see if he ever returns to the ring first.

And so that basically brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s Go-Home week for Elimination Chamber. I’m thinking people are getting on a plane either tomorrow or Wednesday so, RAW has the last push. SmackDown is already uploaded somewhere.

We can expect to see the Ladies finalize their Elimination Chamber match. Given who’s involved, my money is on Shayna Baszler or Zoey Stark though you can’t ever count out Zelina Vega. There will be a less customary 8-Man Tag with Judgment Day facing off against the sudden alliance of The Miz, R-Truth and DIY. Drew McIntyre will try to interrupt Cody Rhodes’ story and Jey Uso will see if he can mange his first Single’s Championship. We’ll see if he wrangles the Intercontinental Title away from GUNTHER.

You’ll have to find some time to watch if you want to see what else happens. The unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PST. Just choose your platform.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
