Clash at the Castle - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Happy Friday! There’s some things to chat about for sure but nothing scintillating, but I think we can have a decent conversation. Shall we get to it? Let’s dive in.

So, as many of you know, Wyatt Sicks debuted on RAW and I have reservations at present but I am hopeful that these players can find a way to make themselves interesting, Nikki Cross especially. We know it’s been tough going finding her niche out there. She’s got plenty to offer but how to present her has had WWE Creative scratching their heads.

Personally, I was always all for letting her be her “crazy” self but that’s delicate these days with calls for sensitivity towards mental health. This new stable allows for the “crazy” to come out and I think the more bizarre yet understandable they are, I feel they can have a great time out there. All I mean is as long as the “crazy” can be tracked or followed, it’s fine. They should avoid being random.

Why the “massacre” happened must have some stretched/delusional thinking but once explained we can see why it was necessary. That’s all I’m asking. You spoke ill of something they hold dear, annihilated. You refused to honor our request, annihilated. You get my drift? As long as there’s a discernible train of thought as to why someone or people get theirs, I’m fine with it. The thinking can certainly be flawed, I just need to be able to follow it. The roster should be able to “avoid trouble”. They may even grow to like those who “understand them”. And how they show affection should be equally deranged. I’m all for it. Now, let’s see what they do.

In other news, there was talk of Shane McMahon contemplating jumping ship to AEW this week. As more information comes out, it sounds like the idea is merely being kicked around. Word is that McMahon was speaking to some AEW talent and floating the idea in conversation. As for Tony Khan’s thoughts, he’s either playing dumb or telling the truth as he’s quoted as claiming never to have met McMahon.

I’m not sure if this move would help anyone. All I can really figure is that perhaps Shane feels the McMahon name may be a bit tainted with all the recent bad press. Maybe “siding with the enemy” would show that Shane has no desire to follow in his father’s footsteps. At least not when it comes to his personal life. I’m just not sure it clears his name or helps AEW. The only other comparison I can make is that they are the sons of very wealthy men. Perhaps they could forge some sort of affluent camaraderie. 🤷 Suppose we’ll see if it ever amounts to anything.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. It’s in Chicago so, CM Punk’s all over it. Will he gloat in his “breaking” of Drew McIntyre? Will someone else show up to challenge his bravado or will McIntyre crash now that he’s not “held by a contract”? We’ll get some Money in the Back qualifying matches as Andrade, Kevin Owens and Grayson Waller have themselves a Triple Threat. Carmelo Hayes, Randy Orton and Tama Tonga will have one too. LA Knight and Logan Paul will talk some more shit. And Cody Rhodes will address the rude welcome the Bloodline gave him at Clash at the Castle. This is the Fallout show after all and from here it’s MITB.

I’ll be watching at the usual time at 8pm PDT. You’re always welcome to join the unofficial watch party. Used to do it just to help the medicine go down but now that they’ve changed the flavor, it’s more a force of habit. I talk a lot less shit if that’s any consolation. It’s all about having fun anyway. Stop by if you’re willing and able.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
