RAW Will Keep the Plans but Will Also Watch the MidTerms...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
It’s kinda quiet this
week so I don’t have that much to talk about but I have some things to relay so
let’s get into it. Why dally?
In the rogue City-State
of MLW they’re preparing for their PPV Super Fight. Not very imaginative but I can
respect it just sticking to the meat of the matter. There, the controversial
Tessa Blanchard is set to debut.
I don’t know much about
her other than her views are less than popular on certain subjects but I haven’t
witnessed anything personally so, I can’t really comment but I have noticed
that MLW doesn’t seem to mind picking up the industry’s miscreants. I guess
time will tell if this a good acquisition for the city-state or not.
As for last week’s
action, the Glasgow Boys member Wolfgang took on Beastman and that was far more
entertaining than you’d think. Beastman embraces the gimmick and acts as if he
retires to a cave somewhere after each show. They paired him with a masked
figure going by “Kimchee” who tries to get him to mind the rules ‘cause he’s
just out there roughing up opponents. Doesn’t know about pins or submissions or
nothing. Just a big ole dude who doesn’t function in society.
Well, it’s that lack of
wherewithal that allowed Wolfgang to pick up the win but Beastman has enough
meat on him to be a problem for just about anyone. We’ll see if he’ll start
picking up on the mechanics of this here wrestling.
In the Realm of AEW, we
got some pre-recorded Collision this past Saturday. The Riders of Death
had some words for The Cut, Gabe “The Hooligan” Kidd especially. Some
commenters on the social media don’t care much for Kidd. They don’t see what he
adds to the Riders. I think that’s just his youth. I don’t think he’s hit 30 yet
and it’s hard to take the kids seriously no matter how passionate.
I don’t really want to
comment on him until he’s of age. In the meantime, I don’t mind his Hooliganism.
From what I hear, pro-wrestling is a fair place to channel it. They don’t
really stand for it in the streets in the UK anymore.
In any case, Kidd went
off on the The Cut. Who the fuck do they think they are? Do they think they’re
gonna stand for this? They can’t think laying up Claudio Castagnoli is the end
of this? They just lit a powder keg and better stand clear if they know what’s
good for ‘em.
Jon Moxley was able to
bring the tone down after Kidd finished venting. He addressed the “Elephant” in
the room with it being clear that the Riders are outnumbered. In his
assessment, when hasn’t that been the case? It hasn’t stopped them yet. Marina
Shafir jumped in as well, reiterating that of course it hasn’t. They wouldn’t
be the standard that they are if they let a few extra guys get in the way. They’re
still here and they’re always gonna be here and everyone just has to accept it.
Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia basically concurred and there you have it. Don’t
worry about the Riders being outnumbered. They’ll handle it.
Well, it doesn’t look
like The Conglomeration will be much help. The Cut handed them their asses at
the end of the show so…maybe the Riders are better off ๐คท♀️ They’ll have to be smart
about who they link up with but for now, that may be on hold as I see that Mox
and Yuta have some business in the Empire of New Japan so we’ll see how that
effects this week’s action.
In the WWE Universe, it’s
looking like they will proceed with Crown Jewel. Apparently, some already
scheduled events went on this past weekend without a problem so, there’s less
apprehension on moving forward. However, I would say that TKO/WWE may wait
until after the midterm elections before proceeding. What’s different this time
around is how pointed this Iran War is. With TKO/WWE known affiliates of Donald
Trump and his administration, the event could be targeted yet, if the election
doesn’t go Trump’s way that may take some heat off but I don’t know. The whole
thing can simply be regarded as proof of American Greed which has been a longstanding
sticking point.
I’ve always been
against going while tensions are high yet the other side of that argument is
essentially, when are they not? So, we’ll see. Tickets sales will probably be
another determining factor as well. What’s the point if no one is gonna be
there? Let’s see how tomorrow goes and we’ll go from there.
In the meantime,
tonight’s RAW is probably over and done with since they started early
today. Regardless, when we get around to it, we can expect Chelsea Green to
team up with Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton to take on the Ladies of the Judgment
Day for a 6-Woman-Tag. Then the Men have their 6-Man-Tag as Penta (Lucha-Mitsu)
gathers up Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans to take on the New Vision. Chad Gable
will continue to present the offering to the Wrestling Gods as he faces Ethan
Page for the Intercontinental Championship. It sounds like they may not like
this one, though. Then Solo Sikoa will show us what he thinks of the 946 when
he takes on Royce Keys. Roman Reigns will grace us with his presence and Sami
Zayn will have something to say about it. And at some point, John Cena will
stop by and fill us in on some stuff.
We’ll get started at
6:30pm PST tonight. No need to rush. Also, some may be conscientiously
objecting to sending talent into the fire so I don’t blame you for standing by
your principles. I don’t like it either but if they’re willing to take the
chance, that’s executing one’s free will. However, like I said I don’t think we’ll
really know what’s going to happen until we know how the midterms go so, don’t
protest just yet.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis
