Night of Champions 2025 - RAW Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

A Merry Monday to you. It’s hard for me to complain about it since I have it off to take care of all this settling in business. Thankfully, when I do this again, it should be less packing up and just moving and unloading and things being delivered. This is like a sort of test run for my personal future.

As for the Wrestling World, eyes were on what turned out to be a fair Night of Champions without incident and it appears everyone made it out alive so, that’s comforting. Jeff Bezos getting married appeared to be what got the most attention this past weekend.

Regardless, I was able to check in on the state of affairs in the Realm of AEW and the Future seems to be slowly but surely manifesting. Our Jon Moxley took a moment to wax poetic as he has his sights on the crybaby that is Adam “the Hangman” Page. I can’t help but focus on the moustache when it comes to Page. He looks like a cartoon character. I keep expecting it to flip around and steam to come out of his ears when he’s pissed. I envision frustrated scoffs bursting forth from it like a dramatic exit through curtains. This one’s going to go over the kids’ heads but it’s like he’s Wilford Brimley’s grandson or something. Cracks me up. I don’t care if he keeps it. It’s just…very distinguishing.

He seems like a good next step, despite the cartoonish appearance. He reads as very no-nonsense which is a good way to advance into the Future. He isn’t thinking outside the ring but depending on how this goes, there may be more “evidence” that something ought to be done, so to speak. I’ll check it out when they finally throw hands.

I also noticed that Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan is back in the fold. There’s room for him in the Future too, if he wants it that is. However, that will probably be best handled if it’s done “on the inside”. In the meantime, the Future Remains Bright. By all means, proceed.

In the WWE Universe, we witnessed the Saudi Night of Champions and it was a respectable presentation. Most found the main event to be Match of the Night but I preferred the opener between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. They went out there and bolstered their reputations, I would say Orton more so but Rhodes held his own. Who knew Orton was so big in the Middle East. I suppose they appreciate when a viper “vipes” 😉

Jade Cargill’s match against Asuka got a lot of flak, though and I could see why. It was a mess but believably so. That’s what I accept about those kinds of displays. In a way, it is more honest because a real fight isn’t pretty. Yet, with Cargill having both good and bad days on the mic, she’ll have to shore something up completely if they want us to keep giving her a chance. She’s got the look and so far, I’m not sure much else. I’m willing to give her more time but improvement will be necessary.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It’s the NoC Fallout show and we will see what awaits us for Summer Slam. We can expect Sheamus to start up a feud with Rusev. GUNTHER will swear to us that he will not put Old Man Goldberg in the hospital. The Bad New Day will see if the Judgment Day pairing of Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh can take the Tag Team Championships off of them. Penta aka Lucha-Mitsu will team up with Sami Zayn to finish what they started in at Night of Champions against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. And Rhea Ripley will have a little talk with us.

The show started early today for some reason so I take it everyone will more or less be taking a look at their leisure. I’ll be doing so around the 8 o'clock hour, maybe 7:30pm Pacific Time. All these changes have changed my ways. Should be knocking these out a bit earlier on the regular. We’ll see how that changes things if at all.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
