RAW Allows Others to Vent Ahead of SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

 

Enjoying this July and summer so far? This is a bit of a bittersweet Monday with the news of Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s passing. It’s random and sad. It’s another reminder of impermanence. None of us are guaranteed anything in this life. Cherish what comes and what stays. As for the Wrestling World, there’s nothing too crazy going on. There are few things to chat about so, let’s get into it shall we?

 

In the Realm of AEW, I would say the Riders of Death are making…interesting moves. They took out Colt Cabana who infamously had some sort of falling out with CM Punk. You could say that this guy started the beginning of the end when it comes to Punk’s AEW run. Would this be some roundabout attempt at getting in Punk’s good graces? There is history there. I guess the real question is why but you got Jon Moxley going around trying to “kill” people. Would it be so far-fetched for him to be somewhat stuck in the past?

 

I don’t have a problem with the move but it does kinda make things easy for his detractors. Not only is he violent, he’s random too. What the fuck is this about? This is some sort of pop-fly behind the catcher and into the stands. Somebody get him “out” all ready! I would have people starting to vocally talk shit at this point. Mox needs to go touch some grass. He lost it, yadda, yadda, yadda… Things don’t need to “get real” just yet. People gotta forget this guy first. That’s fine as long as things ramp up again. He should be furrowing brows and prompting people to bitch. And the hints at the Past bode well for the Future. Proceed.

 

In the WWE Universe, plenty of people aren’t buying Lord Seth Rollins’ “injury”. Some sources are claiming that this is all a work for a surprise cash-in during one of Punk’s matches. We’ll see if those plans get altered to keep everyone guessing. I just didn’t buy the spot where it happened. Yeah, I guess he could have gotten jammed up but having witnessed Zoey Stark’s unfortunate injury recently, we could at least say it wasn’t as bad as that. That’s all I’m really saying. If he is hurt, it’s not that severe. But he’s playing it up by using crutches for the time being so I suppose we’ll just wait and see. He may pull the trigger during one of the Fallout shows.

 

We can also prepare for some roster changes as it’s rumored that Jimmy Uso will move to RAW since Naomi is on there at present. I’m not really paying too much attention to who’s on what brand at present. It appears people will make their appearances wherever it’s deemed fit. I’m not complaining, that just appears to be how it’s going down.

 

And so, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. It looks like fun on paper. We can expect the hosses from abroad in Rusev and Sheamus to collide in what should be a raucous bout. Karrion Kross got out the flatiron for a showdown with Sami Zayn. Lady Becky Lynch is going to try and have a chat with Lyra Valkyria. CM Punk will talk to us about his upcoming match with GUNTHER and Roman Reigns will share some thoughts on betrayal. Should be riveting 😉
