SmackDown Adds a Little Gasoline to the Fire for SummerSlam...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Happy SummerSlam’s Eve. Well, there are things going on but my eye was only draw to a couple things. Some of which weren’t even intentional but since this will probably be a short post, I’ll touch on them. Let’s see what’s going on in the Wrestling World.
First, just a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as I noticed some things this week. I checked out a bit of Dynamite expecting to see the Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page rematch but it looks like that opened so, I saw Hangman cut a promo instead and I have to say I didn’t realize how much his cadence is similar to Sami Zayn’s. He’s like AEW’s cowboy version. Kinda cracked me up.
I also feel I ought to give some due to “dat boy” Mark Briscoe ‘cause I didn’t know he could dance so well. I saw him keep up with Ricochet, so I understand why they almost closed. That was some solid action. Good on him. He still looks like he’s short on a few vaccinations but what are you gonna do with a boy like dat π Good work, gentlemen.
In the WWE Universe, it’s kinda hard to overlook Triple H’s visit to the White House. So, if you had any confusion on what side of the bread is buttered, now you know. There will be a mild air of MAGA within the WWE Brass for the time being so, proceed accordingly. I already made it clear that I’m fine with agreeing to disagree so as long as the action entertains, I won’t really complain. Hopefully, WWE tries to present a more…inclusive future as in showing how these conservative sentiments can go down with the right approach and not just spouting a lot of questionable BS. Fortunately, you can say that WWE is all BS so, they’re experts in a way but you see how politics are left, for the most part, at the door so we can all have a good time.
They could help with “selling” their side more by adding a slickness/coolness to it. I would never defect but I could give a little more respect if they can relax and have a beer like the rest of us. Can’t really get with the staunch “foot down” approach they’re riding in under. It’s short-sighted and often unconstitutional. Kinda contradicts the tenets this country was founded on if you ask me, but that’s just my opinion.
Anyway, let’s see how SmackDown sends us home for this packed weekend. The Cousins Garza plan on throwing up their AAA Tag Team Championships to whoever’s willing. Damian Priest will see what Aleister Black’s problem is this time. Jimmy Uso sees if he can take a bite out of Talla Tonga/Hikuleo. Giulia will see if Zelina Vega has anything new to show her and John Cena and Cody Rhodes will meet up one more time before getting real on what? Sunday night?
The unofficial watch party will start at 8pm PDT. I’ll be experimenting with making a new dish but I’ll be watching. Then I’ll have to put together the Matches of Interest for tomorrow. This promotion keeps me busy, boy I’ll tell ya. Stop by if you haven’t seen it yet. We’ll get up to speed together.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
