Relive RAW Tonight & Live SMACKDOWN on Thursday

How are we doing, Enthusiasts?  Still smarting from the Rumble?  Well, not as much as the WWE so, take solace in that.  Well, it appears that the Gods have taken some pity on this company and the elements have converged to force the WWE to postpone this evening's RAW, though they will be airing live from their HQ in Hartford, Connecticut.  No doubt it'll be some sort of clip show/Royal Rumble recap hosted by Michael Cole or the like. Yet, to compensate Smackdown will be televised live on Thursday.

You don't need me to tell you that the WWE can and will most certainly use this time to implement heavy damage control for this huge self-inflicted wound that was the Royal Rumble.  I would definitely say it's probably at about Def Con 3 at HQ right now and this extra time enables Creative to come up with something that salvages what's left.  Hopefully this serves as the wake-up call that my entire blog is basically about.  You can't underestimate an audience, especially in this day and age. The WWE product has been on a steady decline for years and whether they like it or not, they must face facts.  We the Audience are the WWE Universe and without us, it all ceases to exist. We deserve and want to be appeased. The WWE does not lack talent, displays like last night hint at a lack of integrity. We bridle at Roman Reigns because he has not earned what has been bestowed to him.  Not to say that he won't but, he will not be done any favors by Us. Not while work-horses like Daniel Bryan and, strange as it sounds, Dolph Ziggler are right there doing a better job.  Same can be said for a lot of wrestlers right now and to push Reigns against that backdrop, not only makes Management look bad but Reigns, as well regardless of his involvement in the implementation of the push. Bad looks are always bad for business.

Let's try to look at this as a blessing in disguise, Enthusiasts.  Crisis precedes resolution.  Maybe now we can get some decent product to look at.

See You Thursday,
-Nicole Alexis.
