Does That Future Involve SmackDown Dropping "Clean-Up" Duties?...

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts!

Well, I would have to say that RAW was fairly straightforward this week.  I’m thinking with the SmackDown move to FOX pending, it looks like the WWE is starting to streamline its presentation.  Focus was definitely kept more in the ring and on matches so, let that be a note to the roster.  Going to have to put the drama in the ring and work on that technique.  Looks like this may actually start looking like an actual sporting event.

As for the content, I would say that most fun was certainly the opener.  With Roman Reigns out for “X” amount of time, Brock Lesnar returns to be the resident Unstoppable Force.  Now, of course Braun Strowman comes out to threaten someone would “Get these hands…” but all that happened was Lesnar giving him an F5.  Is that all the foreshadowing we need?  It’s hard to say.  I certainly don’t want this match to be a quick one but I’m not sure about Strowman’s actual ability in the ring.  He does come off like he simply leans on being the biggest and strongest.  I’m not sure there’s much skill.  Say what you want about Lesnar, at least he has the street cred.  We’ll see if they make it interesting on Friday.

In any case, SmackDown only has to keep the momentum going tonight by ramping up interest for Crown Jewel and maybe soft selling Survivor Series due for later in November.  To start, we’ll see if AJ Styles gets to confront Daniel Bryan.  What do you think?  Think they’ll have them get into a backstage fight that gets Bryan “injured” so he can’t participate at Crown Jewel?  Elsewhere, to give us a taste of Halloween, one of the members of The New Day will get to dance with someone from The Bar + Big Show in a Trick or Street Fight.  Becky Lynch is going to practice her Judo moves for the “Someday ShowDown” with Ronda Rousey (you know, at some PPV) and Tye Dillinger will continue to display that he’s got what it takes for prime-time as he faces off against Shinsuke Nakamura.  We’ll see if they can make us forget the facts and just focus on Crown Jewel.  Funny tweets will get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well…given the state of affairs we won’t be too easily swayed but if someone slays, we’ll oblige with Likes and retweets.  Fair enough?

See You in a Bit,
