RAW Now Ushers in the FUTURE!!.....

Greetings, Enthusiasts!

So, Evolution has come and went and I have to say it was a solid showing by our Lady Wrestlers.  Girls can certainly do it too and that is certainly something to be proud of.  Even though there was no tinge of sexual tension to chomp at, it was still a very fun and entertaining night.  Though kudos and praise are due to Becky Lynch and Charlotte, I felt the NXT Ladies put on the best shows in terms of Io Shirai and this Tomi Storm and Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler.   They were technical and compelling and I think these 4 will be interesting additions to the Main Roster should they ever make it there.  Baszler is practically destined to face off with Ronda Rousey in the future and the others are sure to just add welcome depth to the roster.  It should be fun.

In any case, we now look to tonight’s RAW which will both handle last night’s fallout and serve as Go-Home Show for Crown Jewel, still set for Saudi Arabia.  Now, I was one of those against going to Saudi Arabia in this current geo-political climate but I was all for keeping the event.  It looks like maintaining the business association is what’s key here and I respect that but this doesn’t negate the fact this looks sketch.  Yet, I’ll say this.  What does wrestling have to do with politics?   That seems a bit loaded with former and current wrestlers having served in office in various capacities but those jobs/associations tend to remain separate for the most part.  We can at least all agree that wrestling is at most an escape, yes?  The last thing we really want to think about is politics.  Though, I can’t condone what transpired I hope they do everything thing they can to keep the focus on entertainment so we can leave the heavy stuff at the door.

As for tonight’s content, I hear we can expect to see Brock "Gun Jack" Lesnar make an appearance since this Crown Jewel show is happening.  What’s going to be interesting and what we will keep an eye on is how Braun Strowman rises to the occasion.  It’s clear that Strowman has potential but will it ever be actualized.  It’s already going around how he’s the next Big Show.  I’ve said this more or less myself so, how does he establish himself as Braun Strowman, the one and only?  Not sure but here’s his chance.  Also, Ronda Rousey should be in attendance to continue her retaining of the RAW Women’s Championship.  Given this, Nia Jax may move a new target into the bullseye position.  And we can’t forget how we have to see how they proceed with Dean Ambrose’s heel turn.  You all read how I wanted this get more internalized but I guess with Roman Reigns’ absence, sticking to an old standard prevailed.  We’ll see if this at least proves interesting.  We the Audience generally prefer Ambrose being a rogue sort of Face.  To see him sour on his own may not stay compelling but I could be wrong.  We’ll tune in and see what goes down regardless.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites we’ll see what brings a smile to the lips.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
