ShowDown Done. RAW Now Takes Us to the Crown Jewel...

Greetings Enthusiasts!

How are you this Monday?  So, the Super ShowDown is over and done with and it wasn’t bad for an exhibition.  I think everyone went out there with good intentions.  I think Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte and The SHIELD vs. the “Dogs of War” were the matches that best nailed the theme.  It looked like they came out to play and it read well. 

The main event with Triple H vs. The Undertaker wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t all that fun to watch, at least not for me.  It was just a little too clear that these people are pushing 60. Not to mention The Undertaker not being in the best shape.  Just comes off kinda desperate but, at the same time, I know a lot of people would watch these matches even if the old-timers were wheeled out in wheelchairs so, it’s hard to say where to draw the line.  Personally, I say it’s fine as long as they look the part.  So, if they hold up like R-Truth or Batista and can still pull off 35 or 40, though both are almost 50-years-old then whatever.  They’re fooling me.  But if seeing them out there makes you wince with every move, it’s probably time to hang it up.

In any case, the WWE is back stateside and I suppose they have to carry things over a bit for the Crown Jewel event, yet Evolution has to be hyped as well.  We’ll see how they blend the 2 agendas.  We can expect an appearance from Trish Stratus at least so, I don’t know, a side promo as the Crown Jewel is pushed I guess. 

Since many probably only glanced at the bulk of the ShowDown we’ll have the free rehash of The Bella Twins uniting with Ronda Rousey to box with The Riott Squad.  The SHIELD will do another dance with Braun Strowman’s Dogs of War and we’ll see how John Cena is received as a pairing with Bobby Lashley is considered.  These 2 are sort of odd men out and the thing about that is they don’t really have to be.  It’s as if they take the whole thing too seriously or something.  They’re trying too hard to sell their angle when they just have to go out there, do cool shit and have fun.  If they don’t have that in ‘em, I don’t know what to say.  They’ll be phased out do to a huge case of AWKWARD.  In the meantime, Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites I’ll happily Like & retweet it…if it’s good enough.
