RAW Serves as a BEACON You Can't Resist!!!!

Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts!

How goes this Monday for you?  So, it’s Go-Home time for the final PPV of the year Tables, Ladders and Chairs and though it’s not the best lead up, they’ve gone into PPVs with far less momentum before. Tonight, the rumor is that Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax are going to have a pre-match press conference. There’s also talk that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will give their showdown a final push and Rollins is going to break down to us as to why RAW sucks so much right now.

Also, we’re probably going to hear from Baron Corbin in regards to the contingency plans for the match with Braun Strowman since it’s looking like he won’t be match-ready by Sunday.  And Heath Slater eases into his new refereeing duties.  We’ll see how that works out.  It’s hard to say what’s going to be in between but the goal is the same as it is before any PPV.  Get us salivating for it.  Something tells me the impetus may be a bit more pointed going forward.  The Fans are talking and though what the true grievances are may be varied and diverse, the disapproval and lack of ratings is enough to light a fire under somebody.  Now, I didn’t say that what they pitch will land.  I don’t doubt there’s a bit of trial and error approach in the WWE Creative realm. So, like usual, it’ll be hit or miss.  What they have to do during the PPV Go-Home Shows is try to get more notches in the Hit Column. I know, easier said than done and even harder is keeping this shit fresh but that’s what they definitely have to start going for.

As the fallout shows rehash, the Go-Home Shows should preview, right?  And they do for the most part but you know, it should be more enticing not just, here are the 2 guys or gals or groups who are gonna fight…Tune in for the PPV.  Why do we care they’re fighting?  Why should we think it’s going to be a good fight?  ‘Cause again, if they’re not going to do that work, then they should just do it UFC style and have shit-talking press conferences and Weigh-ins and the like.  The WWE serving as the mainstream example of the genre should exemplify it most at these key times. Here are the places where fans could be earned.

So, since this brand supposedly set the standard these should be stellar shows.  It should be one of the few times we should be guaranteed good shows all around.  I’m sure that’s the underlying philosophy but how to actually do that, yes I understand, may be hard to come up with year in and year out.  So, that’s why they should use the rest of the time fleshing out what works from what doesn’t.  This could be good TV for us again, but they may just have to get back to basics fundamentally.  There’s plenty of people in the biz who’ve been doing it for decades.  There’s got to be usable knowledge around.  I’d hate to say they’re just being lazy but given the recent quality, that just could be what's going on here.  Well, we’ll have to continue to be vocal and demonstrative in that case.  But at the same time, don’t troll out and complain just to complain or lament about how “it used to be”.  What’s done is done.  We have to see how to make things work in the here and now and if that isn’t your bag, no one’s forcing you to watch.  The WWE could stand to lose a few fans as well.  We know the ones.  But first, let’s see if they drop any jaws in a good way.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we will see. We will definitely see.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
