SmackDown Doesn't Need a Beacon Because People Actually Want to See It...

A Good Tuesday Evening to You, Enthusiasts.

Though RAW was respectable, I’m sure there were plenty who were un-appeased.  Yet, I do think the job of building interest for TLC was accomplished.  Are we salivating, no but I do believe we’re fairly curious and that’s good enough to a point.  We want to watch and that’s a fair start.

Yet, I feel I have to give some props to Baron Corbin this week.  He commendably served as “martyr” as he took the blame for the recent atrocious RAWs.  We all know he was only doing as told but for him to maturely take the faux heat I find meritorious.  I don’t know if this too was something he was told to do or if he elected himself but he wore it well and it cleared a space for the WWE to potentially correct the situation.  Kudos to Corbin for being big about this and taking a few hits.  Let’s just hope this isn’t how they’ll account for all bad shows going forward.  Once in a while is fine but make it a habit and our point of this being indicative of a bigger problem gets confirmed.  In the meantime, someone pat Corbin on the back.  If he keeps it up he could be a fun Authority Heel to shake our fists at in the future.

Anyway, as for tonight’s SmackDown, they know they have to keep it going so, they’re going to look to Charlotte and Asuka to give a taste of Sunday’s Triple Threat.  The Bar, New Day and The Usos are going to have themselves another “Rap Battle”, we’ll see if they hit the right notes.  And Mandy Rose and Naomi decide to do a little dance to stay loose.  There’s also a rumor floating around that Daniel Bryan is set to face off against Mustafa Ali tonight but I’m not sure if that’s gonna get airtime.  If it does, it’ll probably get some interference of some kind probably from AJ Styles or Samoa Joe.  Got nothing against Ali.  Glad he made it to TV but the placement of this match on a Go-Home Show lends me to think there are some sort of ulterior motives, presentation-wise.   We got to build for TLC and Ali has no place there.  Expect some shenanigans.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we’ll see who gets so inspired.

See You in a Bit,
