SmackDown's BEEN Driving Summer Slam Home....

Greetings Enthusiasts!

So, RAW held up its end for the most part so SmackDown now has to come through and close.  Not too surprisingly, the only thing that kinda fell flat was the second face-off between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins.  It appears they’ll handle this as they always do since there was no punishment to Lesnar and a clearly beaten Rollins hobbles out to show Lesnar he should have never laid hands on him, only to walk into another beating.  Now, I can see how this could be a roundabout game of possum but what last night proved, more than anything else, is that no one is really interested or looking forward to this match.  Last night, didn’t really help.  Always nice to know when an idea of yours could work, though 😉 In any case, it’s just looking like this will be a bathroom break kind of match even though it’s for all the marbles.  The hope now becomes that this leads to the plan to make the switch over to FOX or something.  We won’t bridle too much if this leads to something else, preferably compelling.

The other point of note was that Samoa Joe got to clear his name in fair fashion as the assailant after Roman Reigns struck while Samoa Joe was calling Reigns out.  The plot thickens!  Word is that it should come out tonight that Rowan and Daniel Bryan were the ones behind all of this and this should set up a showdown for Sunday.  These 2 just need to have fun here.  If I’m Reigns, I’m letting Bryan lead on this one.  His mad-hippie routine is hilarious and if Reigns can counter it with just the right amount of “Whatever, man….” we could have ourselves a delightful match-up.  If they do it right, shouldn’t really matter who wins.

As for tonight’s action, Kevin Owens will invite the “Best in the World”, Shane McMahon on the Kevin Owens Show.  We’ll see if Owens starts shrieking at him.  And Kofi Kingston may have something for Randy Orton.  Besides that, we have to sit back and wait and see.  And so, funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we have to be just as stingy as we were last night.  It wasn’t a bad show.  Better than a lot of the Go-Home Shows of late so, that’s progress.  Since SmackDown closes, the ideal is getting us all antsy for Sunday.  They have to leave us wanting.  Let’s see if they can manage rousing the feeling of “Can’t wait!...”

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
