RAW Will Conclude the Draft - Does that Mean the Script Will Get Better?....

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

If you’re in California, you’re probably enduring a little Autumn heat.  I’m sure everyone else is starting to settle into fall weather.  Regardless, let’s take a look what’s going on in the WWE Universe.  The weather is always “temperate” there.

So, word is Eva Marie may return to the WWE.  What better example of the High School nature of the WWE Universe.  Now, I recall hearing about Eva Marie training for a return a while ago so, maybe she picked up some skills during that time yet, I understand the general chagrin.  Don’t overestimate the WWE Universe; it’s always been this way.  It’s more concerned with what sells, not necessarily the best wrestlers.  That’s why some hottie can waltz in and start right at the top.  Understand the WWE Universe’s prime directive, appeal to a general audience.  They want to pull in Joe/Jill Schmoes who are curious about this world.  Sex appeal tends to keep people coming back, even though it may be for all the wrong reasons.  With the state of things, don’t be surprised if WWE doubles down on its old tricks.  They’ll use what used to work until it doesn’t work anymore.  That’s just how they operate.  So, if you don’t like this Eva Marie development, hope she’s trained enough to shut people up or hope she’s just there to stand around and look pretty.  The WWE will always take what they can get.

In other news, not-surprisingly, Lars Sullivan showed he remains true to his form as it comes out that he has recently been a bit pervy in the real world.  A yoga instructor has come forward claiming some inappropriate exchanges.  Ah well, looks like this guy just doesn’t get it.  It’s a shame.  He’s limiting his own options.  Guess we’ll see if he ends up back in the Gay Porn circuit.

In lighter news, Bray Wyatt is making his way over to RAW.  We’ll see if Alexa Bliss goes with him.  It’s an interesting time for Bray Wyatt, the Fiend appears to be losing steam.  Yes, there are still some clueless fanboys/girls singing his praises but if you check Reddit, it’s surprising how word on him has gone somewhat silent.  That last showing didn’t appear to win anyone over.  A lot of the threads switched focus over to Kevin Owens.  Not a good sign.  I’ve always said The Fiend wasn’t a good gimmick.  It’s a B-Movie horror franchise.  I still say the best thing for Wyatt to do is pen a 90-min script and hope that WWE Studios gives it a shot when restrictions get lifted.   He/WWE simply don’t know how to sell it in real time.  They should admit that and put it somewhere it can work.  Otherwise, let’s see if Wyatt sees the writing on the wall and seeks out, outside help.  The one thing that’s becoming clear, don’t expect the creative department to have any good ideas.  Wyatt will have to find them on his own.

So, that brings us to tonight’s RAW.  We get the completion of the Draft.  Mustafa Ali will explain himself.  There will be a big ole Women’s Battle Royale to determine the #1 Contender for Asuka.  Kevin Owens will box Aleister Black and Seth Rollins will bid RAW adieu.  We’ll see what we’ll get.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well as I’ve been saying, stay vocal.  Numbers don’t lie to a corporation like WWE.  If they see the content isn’t selling, they’re not going to push it anyway.  They may have in the past but as you can see, that tactic is starting to backfire.  Don’t think they don’t want to make money.  We have to make it clear to them how to best do that.  If the content sucks, say so.  Don’t bitch to bitch.  Bitch at bad content.  Give them no choice but to think again.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
