RAW Starts the Slow CountDown to the Royal Rumble...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

I would ask if you enjoy the 2nd day off we get of the year but with so many at home anyway, not sure it really matters currently. Have faith.  2022 is looking good so far.

So, when it comes to wrestling news there’s a bit floating around. I suppose the biggest bit of news is that the WrestleManias have been set for up to 2023. WrestleMania 37 will remain in Florida and have limited fan attendance. It has also been pushed back to April 10th and will conclude on April 11th. In 2022, WrestleMania will be held in Dallas at AT&T Stadium on April 3rd. In 2023, it will come back to the West Coast and be held at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 2nd. It’s hard to think this far into the future but I’m glad there are plans set. Gives everyone something to work with and look forward to. We’ll see what happens between now and then.

In the meantime, many wrestlers are now claiming their entry into the Royal Rumble. Jeff Hardy and Peyton Royce are a couple of the recent entrants. This is customary for this time of year so no real surprises there. On a side note, what I did find interesting is that Braun Strowman is pitching some show ideas. He’s asking on Social Media about how people would feel if he began a Cheat Meal segment. He’d settle down to a jaw-dropping cheat meal and have a guest, probably from the wrestling world, try to match him in downing the feast. I can’t say I wouldn’t catch a clip or 2 on YouTube but I don’t know if I’d settle in for a half-hour. Yet, the exercise could be good for Strowman. He’s clearly working on his presentation and to give himself more practice wouldn’t hurt. The idea could find some traction on the WWE Network or the WWE YouTube channel. I don't see the harm in giving it a shot.

In any case, let’s get to tonight’s action. There’s word a standard 6-Man-Tag is scheduled. Also, Randy Orton will show us whether he’s “scarred for life” by Alexa Bliss’ scorching. Bliss will have at Asuka to keep her ring ready. An update on Drew McIntyre is expected as well as more information on who will be a Royal Rumble participant. That’s what happens when your 2 weeks out. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes, well like I said we’ve got some time. This is always a good time to take a closer look because it’s during these filler times that WWE should be fleshing itself out. As I’ve said before this is prime time for experimentation. See what works, take note of what doesn’t and proceed accordingly.  Keep your eyes open and take note of whether WWE is trying to help itself out. Don’t think this company wants to go under. It can look like they don’t care but if they’re a fully operational corporate entity they want to remain in business. They have to care even if they don’t want to. We keep an eye out to see who’s intent on keeping their job. There’s hope enthusiasts. We simply have to be patient.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
