Before We Get Ahead of Ourselves with WrestleMania, SmackDown Reminds Us of Elimination Chamber...

Happy Lunar New Year, Enthusiasts!

It’s the year of the Ox! It’s supposed to be an industrious year. I can see that, given everything. Gotta work on getting things back up and running. We can certainly see that in the wrestling world as well. There’s a lot of work to do.

But what else is new? So, let’s check in on what’s going on. Well, the first bit of news that caught my eye is that Keith Lee proposed to Mia Yim. It looks like she said yes! I’m happy for them. They look good together. When Lee heel turns we can see if he gets assistance from RETRIBUTION, if that’s still a thing by then. Best of luck to them both!

Something that may prove ominous for WWE fans is that 58-year-old Keiji Mutoh (a.k.a. The Great Muta) won a heavyweight championship over in Japan. His win was impressive. He still has some moves. But that means WWE may still try to find hope in aging superstars. All they got to do is stay in shape. Goldberg may get himself a title next time out. We’ll have to see if he can sell it. Mutoh was quite believable. It could be fun as long as they play up the age angle. Whoever has the misfortune of taking the L will have to live down how Oldman Goldberg handed him his ass. The rematch would book itself. Maybe that’s how he can go out.

In other news, there’s a rumor circulating that there’s some real dissension among WWE employees. Naturally, there’s no word on why just that they are displeased. Well, this could concern any number of things or nothing at all. Given how there’s little substance to this rumor, could this be some disinformation that I suggested? I wouldn’t be mad at it, depending if it distracts away from something cool happening. That’s the thing about this sort of tactic. Cry wolf too many times, people won’t notice when something real does happen. We’ll see if this keeps us from looking at something else.

So, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. Roman Reigns supposedly has a “big announcement” we’ll see if that happens or holds. Seth Rollins is also set to formally return. We’ll see what direction he goes in. He picked up right from where he left off during the Royal Rumble. Does that mean he checks in on Murphy or goes searching for new “disciples”? We’ll have to tune in and find out. Same goes for whatever else they have planned. Oh, and before I forget, I have another article out. This one’s on Bianca BelAir and her WrestleMania options. They are what they are so we’ll see if WWE makes this interesting. That’s about all we can do. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes well, this is the last week before the Go-Home shows so, we’ll be looking for the bread crumbs to Elimination Chamber and Fastlane. We’ll have to wait and see if those are places we really want to be led.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
