SmackDown Sets Us Up for Elimination Chamber...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!

How’s everyone doing? Well, there’s not much going on in the wrestling world, well no more than usual but there are few blips that caught my attention. Shall we chat about them?

The first one is more an indication of a long-standing problem in WWE. Word is that Bo Dallas, though still on the WWE Roster, is planning for his life after wrestling, seeing how he might as well anyway. He hasn’t really been on TV since 2019. Now, this isn’t really surprising because he was on the mid-card anyway but again, decent wrestlers are just being paid to sit at home. Tsk-tsk-tsk. What’s the point of a creative department if they aren’t creative? The simplest thing to do is keep him around until Bray Wyatt decides to reinstate the Wyatt Family. Dallas could be a right-hand man type. I know they probably wanted to stay away from that angle to give a Dallas a chance to develop on his own but since that’s only happening in real life, might as well go with the obvious. He can become Bo Dallas-Wyatt. It’s not like we don’t know they’re brothers. If they develop the stable correctly, in the future, drama could arise in the form of dissension and perhaps Dallas creating his own “family”. Like I keep saying, if wrestlers don’t start to come up with their own ideas, they’ll be left to sit at home until they’re cut. All they have to do is use these sorts of examples to make a case. Wrestlers in this position may have to settle for appearances on Main Event and 205 Live and the like but it’s better than nothing. If they can make it work over there, there’s hope to get on RAW or SmackDown. Gotta start somewhere.

In other news, NXT got an uptick in ratings this week. It was well-deserved. I caught most of it and it was a solid show from what I saw. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax made an appearance to up the ante against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. I believe they may face off at WrestleMania. And one of the funnier spots was Cameron Grimes rubbing in how he made a killing with GameStop stock. That was great. That’s the sort of thing both NXT and WWE need to keep doing. I know a lot of fans bemoan how you can’t take WWE seriously anymore but in my opinion you shouldn’t assign it too much importance. It is just entertainment after all. They want a following like Game of Thrones not UFC or Boxing. Keep it real. Watch to escape a while. Relax.

In any case, let’s get to tonight’s SmackDown. There appears to be quite a bit scheduled for the final Go Home Show before Elimination Chamber. Edge is gonna continue to bat around his WrestleMania plans. Bayley is going to have Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler hit the “Ding-Dong” and go “Hello!” and it looks like they’ll close with a big ole, 6-Man-Tag to build the last push to Sunday. Let’s see if we get a fun time. Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes, well you know what time it is. SmackDown has to maintain its street-cred. Feel free to let her rip if they miss the mark.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
