Elimination Chamber = Done. Next...WrestleMania...

Happy President’s Day, Enthusiasts!

How is everyone doing? I have to say I’ve enjoyed this day off. It’s been rejuvenating. So, there’s not much going on in the wrestling world but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to talk about. Let’s chat some, shall we?

So, The Elimination Chamber came and went and it was an okay show. Nothing spectacular but not exactly time wasted either. What was most interesting was what wasn’t planned to happen. Seth Rollins tossing Austin Theory into Bobby Lashley’s pod cause the pod to break and resulted in Lashley getting hurt. He’s now out with a shoulder injury. So, that’s the next chapter when Lashley gets back. He’s got some words for Rollins who sidelined his Title run. That’s one thing they don’t have to worry about.

As a consequence of the unexpected injury, Brock Lesnar took it upon himself to bust out his pod and destroy all for the WWE Title. It will now be him and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Though this has happened a few times, this is the first time that it seems…worth it. I say this because we all know it took a little while for Reigns to find his stride. Now that he has found it, this match is finally worth watching. Problem is, people may be bored with it anyway just because it’s like the 10th time. Well, that’s WWE’s problem since they’ve decided to go in this direction. It’s up to Lesnar and Reigns to make it interesting. We’ll see what they do and what actually happens.

Back to the Elimination Chamber, match of the night appears to be Becky Lynch vs. Lita though I found it a little lackluster. I get the feeling the 2 ladies couldn’t do anything wrong out there, if you get my drift. People just seem to like the idea of them fighting.

The “match that wasn’t” between the Viking Raiders and The Usos is also getting a lot of chatter. Mainly because they fly all the way out there just to DQ the match. Well, this could be viewed a few ways but my take on it is that they’re incorporating the Saudi shows into the general WWE narrative. These are going to be less exhibitions and more standardized premier live events. I don’t have any problem with that, though others may. I will align with the notion that the fans have nothing to do with the politics of the nation. WWE does a decent job of allowing people to leave their cares at the door. I think it should be thought of no further. Saudis have the right to escape from time to time too. What’s the harm in that?

And so that brings us to tonight’s RAW. The draw for tonight is Brock Lesnar. There’s talk that his title will be defended a few weeks from now at Madison Square Garden. Not sure the outcome is different, but we’ll see. In the meantime, we have a massive stretch of No Man’s Land from here to WrestleMania so, I expect viewership to be spotty from now until April. It will be up to WWE to develop a feeling of FOMO. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Just have fun and relax. Forcing it only shows you forced it.

See You in a Bit,
