RAW Is Going To Try to Make Things Interesting...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.

Don’t groan. It’s another day and therefore another dollar 😉 There isn’t that much going on but there are a few things worth mentioning. Shall we start the informal chat?

Let’s start off with some happier news as Instagram shows that Mia Yim and Keith Lee finally got married. They had the time and made use. I’m happy for them. They seem to fit so, I’m glad they found their happy ending. May their lives be all that their dreams are made of. Best wishes all around.

In the WWE Universe, we have some more typical grumblings but the nature of them makes me wonder. Remember, you can’t fully trust what you come across in this world. That’s the reality of life in kayfabe. At the very least, half of it isn’t real. So, what is everyone grumbling about? This time around, it’s disapproval of Shane McMahon’s behind the scenes behavior. There are reports that both Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon weren’t very happy with him during the Royal Rumble, seeming to confirm that his services are no longer needed by the WWE. I get the sneaking suspicion that this is some sort of work. Not that it has immediate implications, but it gives the illusion of the WWE nipping problems in the bud, no matter where they come from. Not a bad image to present and it doesn’t entirely matter if it isn’t real. I’m just not buying this. I’m sure Shane will be back. They’re just going to wait until the stink of this year’s Rumble wears off.

Assisting with the airing out of the vicinity is tonight’s RAW. The interesting sell for tonight, besides Lita dusting off the boots is Seth Rollins is set to face Riddle for who knows what. What’s interesting here is that Rollins and Riddle had beef stemming from the sexual assault allegations lodged against Riddle a few years ago. This is why I’m not fully vested in Riddle. It appears that many WWE fans didn’t hear about this and to be honest, that’s not surprising.

This lot isn’t the type to check the trades. To most casual fans, this is a just passing fancy, a way to vent after a bad day or week. They don’t know much more than what’s shown. This sure as hell didn’t make it to mainstream media so, I’m sure it’s not on the radar for most but if Ric Flair’s shit came back to bite him, it’s bound to trip up Riddle. Flair didn’t even go as far as sexual assault, indecent exposure and lewd behavior maybe but no sexual assault. I still don’t know the full story but from what I heard, the matter with Riddle was settled out of court. My issue with Riddle is that he didn’t seem repentant. If he wanted this cleared, he should have done some sort of community service, something to show he learned his lesson. I don’t think he did. The matter was settled and he went back to being Spicoli II. I wouldn’t be surprised if this comes back around and seeing how the grievance is sexual assault, I also wouldn’t be surprised if he gets cancelled. It may blow over again but I’m not sure how I’d feel about that. I’d rather have Flair’s old ass around than Riddle’s.

Regardless, Rollins isn’t exactly a fan of Riddle’s either. I hear that they squashed whatever beef but this could be a time to “light it back up”. Maybe Rollins just doesn’t like his face but it could be juicy if they find the right angle. We’ll see what they do with it. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. This is No Man’s Land to the Elimination Chamber abroad. This will be a packed week for WWE as they have to tape next week’s SmackDown ahead of time due to travel. We’ll also have to see if Russia keeps off Ukraine for the duration as well. Not sure if this goes down if war breaks out across the pond. As with it all, we shall see.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
