The Long March to WrestleMania Continues with SmackDown...

 Happy Friday, Enthusiasts.

I hope things are going well for you. So, there’s a few things to talk about, aren’t there. Let’s get right into it.

So, Tony Khan acquired Ring of Honor. I can’t help but feel that benefits the former owner(s) more than AEW. It’s just a feeling but that’s my initial read. ROH was never an elaborate promotion. Yet, that was what was kinda endearing about it. You could see everyone there loved the gig but it’s definitely where you start. No disrespect to lifers but I would imagine the goal would be bigger and better things after a while. We’ll see what AEW

does with it.

What’s interesting about this is that word is that talks with WWE and Cody Rhodes stalled out as they couldn’t agree on terms so the new rumor is that he may head back to AEW to operate in some capacity with the ROH acquisition. Not sure what to believe here. There are other rumors stating that WWE is working avidly to build his creative angle. Regardless, I think in terms of WWE both parties need to just step back and get real with each other. I’m sure there’s a lot of old tensions that haven’t been talked out. They should probably start there before negotiating a deal but that’s just me. 

In any case, we have tonight’s SmackDown to look forward to. This is a long No Man’s Land though, there’s supposed to be some action tomorrow with Brock Lesnar. I suppose we’ll see if we get a little taste of that or if they just play House Rules. The main event should be Ronda Rousey and Sonya DeVille. It’s nice to see DeVille getting back into action. The Usos will box the Viking Raiders for the Tag Team Titles and Ricochet will have at Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title. Word is that Ricochet may get a babyface push. He’s too talented to leave on the bench so I’m glad they’re making an effort to do something with him. I wish him all the best. Okay, people. Have fun with it. Might as well. April is a ways away.
