SmackDown Finalizes the Outfits It's Gonna Take (to Puerto Rico - BackLash)

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

I hope it is a good one for you. As for the Wrestling World, there are some things going on but most of it is not very definitive so this will be a short post. Let’s get on with it, shall we.

To start, there was speculation that Trinity Fatu f.k.a. Naomi may debut in Impact this week but it doesn’t look like that came to pass just yet. Regardless, I feel we all wish her well in her future endeavors.

Speaking of speculations, it’s floating around that WWE will be interested in a lot of AEW talent at the end of the year. Many of their contracts are coming up for review and if they aren’t renewed, WWE may swoop in and claim whomever it deems fit.

I think the bulk of us are anticipating the acquisition of MJF. AEW may fight for him but I don’t think they need to. He’s so young, they should let him spread his proverbial wings. As for reacquisitions, I hope for Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, Malakai/Aleister Black, Buddy Matthews/Murphy and PAC/Neville.

I know some of those are wishful thinking but I think these guys deserve a bigger platform. Some compromises will have to be made on both sides if this is to work for everyone but I think it only supports the notion that WWE, though not traditional professional wrestling, holds the best talent this industry has to offer. That should be what really matters here. Concessions should be made in the name of greatness so hopefully pettiness can be put aside and good deals can be made. As always, we shall see.

In any case, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. The big deal tonight is the WWE Draft. The roster will get “shaken up” as both RAW and SmackDown vie for talent. We can also expect a rematch between The Usos and the Canadian Duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. That can only mean we see the next chapter of the Bloodline Saga. This may entail a “split” as word is that its members, Roman Reigns included, could be sent to different brands. However, that doesn’t mean it prevents them from crashing shows. We’ll see what entertains the most 😉

We can also expect Sonya Deville to keep fresh courtesy of Zelina Vega. Outside of that, we’ll have to tune in and see, per usual. Take solace in the certainty.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
