Meanwhile, SmackDown Takes Some Time to Pay Tribute to the Troops...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Hanging in there? Enjoying the winter weather, wherever you may be? I’m making the most of it. So, there’s not a whole lot to talk about but there’s enough for a brief chat. Shall we?

First up, let’s just take a moment to address the attention that Brock Lesnar’s daughter, Mya has gotten recently. I feel I should comment because I too am my father’s daughter and can relate to the sometimes awkward reality. To be honest, I didn’t really pay much mind to the posts because I thought it was some troll playing with photoshop but no, there’s no doubt who this young lady’s father is and she appears to be doing all that she can with it. Good for her!

She’s not the only father’s daughter as both Charlotte Flair and Ava/Simone Johnson can attest. It happens and all we can do is wear it with style and grace. I guess only time will tell if she’ll bring a new kind of reign of terror to WWE one day 😉 Something tells me the option is available to her should she choose to pursue it. I’ll just close with it’s nothing well-applied makeup and a flattering wardrobe can’t fix. The photos circulating are more for her athletic life and there’s no need to be gussied up there. She can’t help she didn’t fall too far from the tree and I wish her nothing but the best. Doubt she has much to worry about anyway.

Next item of business is that we may see Andrade return to WWE in the near future. There are reports that his AEW contract is expiring soon. I’m not sure this is the best thing but it is an option. Personally, I always felt he didn’t really read well. Something about him came off as standoffish and unrelatable but commenters said he was more palatable in NXT. Not sure how to translate that to something more watchable but we’ll see if it happens. WWE has plenty to work with and don’t really need Andrade but I’m sure they could fit him in with the New LWO or have him team with Santos Escobar now that he’s a heel. Naturally, word is that he’d like to be closer to his wife, Charlotte Flair, but we’ll see what comes to pass.

So that more or less brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. It is a Tribute to the Troops edition this time around. Usually, it’s its own pre-recorded show but it would air at odd times and not get much of a streaming presence of late so, I don’t blame them for fitting it into the regular schedule. This one should have more bite to it since CM Punk is scheduled to be in attendance.

As for in-ring action, we can expect to see Charlotte Flair and Asuka keep themselves on their toes. Randy Orton is going to try LA Knight on for size and see what he can help him do against the Bloodline in the form of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. And a tournament begins to determine who becomes #1 Contender for the US Title. For all else you’ll have to sit down and watch. The unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PST. The bulk of my fun will be had on X/Twitter but I’ll post some links to Threads. I don’t like the interface as much as X but if you have your reservations about the platform, you can take solace that you’ve engaged through Threads. Hope it makes people feel better.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
