RAW Gets Comfortable Ahead of Christmas...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

How’s everything going? Enjoying the final weeks of the 2023? I have to say, I’ve had worse. In any case, there’s not a whole lot to talk about but there’s a talking point or 2. Shall we get into it?

To start, it would appear that a few personalities of the wrestling industry are suffering some serious ailments or injuries. Kenny Omega is out due to complications of diverticulitis. CJ Perry/Lana is out with an infection and Charlotte Flair is out with a torn ACL. Bumps and bruises come with the trade but these parties will be out for quite some time as recovery is what’s key in these cases. Seems like a bout of bad luck for the most part. Take care of your health out there, people. You never know when you could lose it.

In other news, Roman Reigns’ appearance on SmackDown didn’t have quite the ratings spike that may have been anticipated proving, for now anyway, that CM Punk is in fact good for business. Say what you will about him, he has our attention. We’ll see if that maintains once Punk starts having matches. Neither one is considered young anymore but I wouldn’t say they’re past their prime yet either. We’ll see if we see more of Reigns in the near future. A character like that should be a little worried about being left behind.

Seeing how Punk is on RAW and starting a back and forth with Dominik Mysterio, I figured I would segue with their social media exchange as Dom got me to chuckle. We all know that shit talk comes with this territory and Dom is showing he can kinda hold his own. This will probably lead to him catching a beating but it’s fun in the meantime. Dom is circulating one of Punk’s AEW botches while he “shakes in his boots” awaiting a match with the new veteran. That’s the kinda stuff I want to see. Build a nice, hearty beef. I like the tension and anticipation to be nice and palpable. Dom shows he can have fun with it. Will Punk play along or get crotchety? We’ll have to wait and see 😉

So, that brings us to tonight’s episode as we can expect Seth Rollins to come out and talk to us a little as the Crowd chants his song. R-Truth has a proposition for the Judgment Day. The Miz will try 1 more time to take the Intercontinental Title from GUNTHER. The New Ladies will battle for the Tag Team Championships and we’ll circle back to the Judgment Day as the Creed Brothers cut their teeth in a match against Finn Bálor and Damian Priest. You’ll have to tune in for everything else. The unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PST. Find me on Twitter/X or catch up on Threads. Your choice.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
