RAW Anxiously Awaits CM Punk's Choice...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Did you enjoy the weekend? I had a bit more going on than usual but enjoyed myself. As for the wrestling world, there’s not much to discuss but enough to have a brief post and chat so, let’s get into it. It shouldn’t take up too much of your time.

I took a look at the Deadline PPV NXT had to offer seeing how it’s the last official offering of the year. I had some time to kill so I said, why not? There were a couple standouts in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. This Trick Williams certainly has some appeal though I’m not sure about the chant of his. Have a hard time seeing that on RAW or SmackDown. Being the pinnacle of the industry comes with some responsibility. I feel WWE should always err in favor of class. Leave the toilet humor and low-brow comedy for the likes of AEW. Williams will have to get something wittier than “Whoop that trick!” going but if he’s up for the big time, he should be up to the challenge. Can’t imply the beating of some phantom, bottom bitch out there, I mean really 😉

Honorable mention goes out to Bron Breakker too as he read like the second coming of Goldberg though I’m sure many would say that he’s safer in the ring. Haven’t heard anybody complain yet so that’s good. There’s a lot of up and coming talent but we will see who really starts to hold our interest. NXT still is the minor leagues to me but it’s still cleaner than AEW yet I would say those 2 are more in the same echelon, so to speak. AEW is a bit more respectable in terms of the wrestling action, I’ll give them that. They ought to be with all the vets they’re rocking but in terms of going “Who?!” throughout the night, I think they’re more or less in the same boat at least when it comes to the up and comers.

Also, don’t bother watching if you’re looking for CM Punk’s segment. They seem to have cut it from the replay. Not sure when it went down. If it happened during Kick-off, go ahead and check it out there but it’s looking like online is the best way to get a look at it for yourself. It seemed like they just ran with it but it seemed pretty off the cuff so I don’t blame them for cutting it. They all can’t be winners. Punk keeps it respectable in the end but it’s clear whatever they meant to say didn’t really happen. That’s what happens with live television sometimes, people.

In any case, that brings us to tonight’s RAW. Speaking of CM Punk, we should hear which brand he’ll “pledge allegiance” to. Maxxine Dupri gets a big shot as she faces Rhea Ripley. Shinsuke Nakamura will take his beef up with Cody Rhodes. Becky Lynch will show us she’s not afraid of Nia Jax and Drew McIntyre is going to put his hands all over Jey Uso. McIntyre doesn’t like Jey much, remember?

Unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PST and goes down on Twitter/X but if that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, you can catch up through Threads. To each their own, I always say.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
