RAW Make Sure Everyone Has Their Itinerary for Elimination Chamber...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

For us in the United States, it’s Presidents’ Day and so, many are enjoying a day off, myself included. It should be a patriotic sort of day but given the political landscape, how this is celebrated will be left to personal interpretation. I’m just glad for a 3-Day weekend.

As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things we can chat about. More if you want to get all up and into it but you should know by now that I skim the surface more than take a deep dive…unless I’m so inspired, that is. We’ll see if something catches me up but this should be a pretty straightforward post. Ready? Let’s go.

We’ll start in the Realm of AEW since they had their Australian Grad Slam last weekend. I caught the first few matches since it was televised. Got to see how Kenny Omega is doing and what all the hub-bub is about concerning Harley Cameron. As you can figure, I was curious about the match between Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli aka Cesaro and Uncle Edge & Jay “the Switchblade” White.

It was supposed to be a “Brisbane Brawl” I believe and it was for the most part. Uncle Edge did a spot from the second level of the stands which just had me going, “You just got back from a broken leg!” but you can’t tell Uncle Edge nothing. He’s going out there swinging. Can’t really blame him given the serenade ovation the Australian Crowd gave him. He gave it as much as he got it but in the end, Mox got him in a chokehold and put him “to sleep”. White played it up by crawling over to an “unconscious” Uncle Edge but what was done, was done.

The Crowd booed and Mox lost it on them which I think was appropriate. Most commenters are still shitting all over this angle but I would say let them. AEW should pivot this more into in-ring action but let those who “don’t see the vision” remain clueless. It should land the “real stuff” more when it starts to go down. Just let Uncle Edge lead for the time being. There’s at least 2 years of this to go so, get comfortable and gradually turn up the heat.

In the Land of Free Agency, Miro/Rusev isn’t jumping over to WWE just yet. Apparently, he’s set for an appearance at an event in Qatar. No word on whether he’ll be wrestling but he’s making the most of being unencumbered for the moment.

In the WWE Universe, John Cena is getting his schedule in order. He’s been added to the WWE Calendar for a few European dates in March, leading many of us to believe his win is penciled in for Elimination Chamber. Not the most exciting lead up but the man’s busy. It could be a feint for WrestleMania surprises but I’m not holding out for that. It is the Retirement Tour after all. Let him have his final hurrahs.

This leads us to tonight’s RAW. Next week is the Go-Home Show so, this should place the final pieces of framework for Elimination Chamber. We can expect Lucha-Mitsu aka Penta to take on Pete Dunne. AJ Styles will muss up Dominik Mysterio. Ivy Nile will have to go through Dakota Kai if she wants a chance at the Intercontinental Championship. Roxanne Perez will see if she can get past Raquel Rodriguez for a spot in the Elimination Chamber and Seth Rollins will see how badly Finn Bálor wants to be in the Elimination Chamber as well.

I debated joining the show live but, meh. I’ll keep the unofficial watch party at 8pm PST. Take your time and join if you’d like. I understand if you want to just enjoy a free day. That’s the point.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
