SmackDown Suggests Everyone Figure Out What They're Gonna Pack for Elimination Chamber...
Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!
How is everyone doing? Well, there’s stuff going
on so, I’ll keep this to the point, for the most part. What’s happening won’t
take up much but it’s something, you know. Ready to get this over with? Let’s break
it down.
So, we’ll start in the Realm of AEW as the IWC has
noticed a striking similarity in Jon Moxley’s latest rant. Claiming all things
AEW as “his” apparently is quite similar to a promo our current Tribal Chief,
Roman Reigns, cut not too long ago. Most are making the correlation that The Shield
is forever and with that I’ll just say, the future remains bright 😉 Whether this was
intentional or not is the question and for me it doesn’t matter. As long as
people are jumping to the conclusion is enough. All I’ll say is hopefully, they
keep the “real stuff” fun but believable…mostly.
In the WWE Universe there are a few things going on.
With the partnership with TNA in effect, the Hardy Boyz are slated to make an
appearance on NXT. I don’t see myself tuning in but it should lead to a slight
bump in ratings, I would think. We’ll see how their twilight years play out.
Elsewhere, Carmella’s contract was allowed to expire.
It’s more or less common knowledge that she’s been suffering from a case of drop
foot after the birth of her child. Seeing how that’s a nebulous condition,
I suppose WWE felt they might as well let her go than just have her sit on the
payroll. The upside is, that if she ever recovers in reasonable time, she could
possibly return. WWE is no stranger to such things so, let’s just wish her well
for the future.
With that, we
come to tonight’s SmackDown. Word has it that The Rock decided to show
up and upend whatever was planned for this evening. What’s still on the docket
is Pretty Deadly will try to measure up to DIY and take the Tag Team Championships
off of them. Jimmy Uso will see if he can take a bite out of Drew McIntyre.
There are videos of McIntyre’s knee getting drained so, I think that’s some
foreshadowing for the outcome. The 6-Man-Tag will have Cody Rhodes partnering
up with the likes of Damian Priest and Braun Strowman to take on the Bloodline. And at some point,
probably towards the end, The Rock will grace us with his presence. We’ll
probably get some confirmation, one way or another on his WrestleMania status.
The unofficial watch
party will start at 8pm PST. The feed is just full of The Rock stuff so we West
Coasters will check in later to see if all the hype matches up. You’re welcome
to join if you got nothing else scheduled.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
