SmackDown Fallout - Royal Rumble 2025

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

How’s it going? There isn’t too much going on so, this should be a short post, but it should be lighthearted…for the most part. Ready to get this done? Let us proceed.

We’ll just take a quick visit to the Realm of AEW as the Death Riders continue to wreak havoc, the likes of RenΓ©e Paquette is at least loosening up in all the mayhem. I thought it was cool of her to allow herself to be carried to safety by Marina Shafir. I guess Paquette too is a part of the “package” to be protected at all costs. Seems appropriate πŸ˜‰ It’s about the little things sometimes. Uncle Edge appears to be driving at the moment so I won’t worry about them for the time being. It feels like it’s finally being paced right so, we’ll just sit back and see what the future holds.

In the WWE Universe, there’s some less pleasant news as it appears that Cedric Alexander has been allowed to pursue other endeavors. Reports are coming in that he’s no longer with WWE. It’s unclear what the terms were. People aren’t certain if this was a termination or a contract expiration but for whatever it’s worth, Alexander will be free to work again in about 90 days. Many feel he’ll probably re-emerge at AEW. Good luck to him. I’d say the only real thing against him is his size. Hopefully, he’ll be more appreciated there.

Elsewhere, Seth Rollins continues to cruise for a bruising by attempting to validate his recent actions against Roman Reigns. Rollins is basically citing Karma for Reigns’ “demise”. He simply got what was coming to him. This is exactly why Rollins should be watching his back for the time being. Reigns’ “actions” aren’t the most upstanding but they haven’t really had much beef recently and Rollins was doing as he does by trying to coax Reigns into a brief alliance only to turn on him when everything went south so, that’s grounds for a pounding if you ask me. We’ll see if Reigns remembers to handle it when he returns.

And with that, we come to tonight’s SmackDown. Remember it’s the last of the Royal Rumble Fallout and so, we’ll see Alexa Bliss knock off some ring rust while she takes on Candace LaRae. Qualification for the Elimination Chamber continues as LA Knight, Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Uso battle for a spot in a Triple Threat Match. Charlotte Flair will try to impress upon the Crowd again and Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will have themselves a little chat.

For all the specifics, you’ll have to watch. As usual, the unofficial watch party will be at 8pm PST. Can’t lollygag on Fridays. The time slot is set. Feel free to join if your schedule allows.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
