Will RAW Just Phone It in Since Everything Changes Next Week?...

How’s Everyone Doing this Monday? Good?   Hanging in there?   Stay strong, my friends.   So, there are a couple things on my mind tonight.   I guess it’s best to start with Finn Balor, given how he and Kyle O’Reilly had themselves a knockdown, drag ‘em out fight for the title last night at NXT Takeover.   Balor retained but not without getting banged up plenty.   Now, this is the sort of thing I mean when it comes to how the WWE mishandled Balor.   The Dæmon Persona is somewhat necessary for Balor to make sense in the WWE Universe.   His susceptibility to injury kinda ruins the ruse, so to speak.   If they established him correctly, his matches could be better structured to protect him.   When in trouble, he could resort to psychological tactics to “disturb” his opponents.   I always thought that would be fun for both Balor and whoever faces him.   When he found himself in a jam, he’d get the opponent all crossed up in a hold where he could whisper something in their ear.   What it i

RAW Inaugurates the Wrestling Modern Age!

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! It’s the dawn of a new era as RAW opens for the first time in 3 years without SmackDown to directly follow.  SmackDown’s inaugural episode is set to be raucous on Friday as The Rock confirms his appearance and I hear The Usos are set to return as well.  Since it’s a 20 th Anniversary show, expect it all to be mostly exhibition to start with some morsels to lead to Hell in a Cell.  I don’t think we’ll really get to SmackDown business until the following week.  This will also be quite an interesting week as AEW debuts on Wednesday to add some flavor to the new wrestling dynamic that lies before us.   The thing about a lot of this is that for me, the bulk of this will have to be watched on the flip because being on the West Coast and the cord cut, I get live showings of some of these shows so, I’ll be a little behind more often than not.  I’ll still post my blogs prior to RAW, SmackDown and PPVs but I’ll be commenting on the Twitters as my sche

A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! Today we have Hell in a Cell to feast on and I have to say, I’m a little curious.   Didn’t think I would be but the Go-Home shows served their purposes and got me good and interested in what happens.   Now, all they have to do is deliver.   So, do you think this night will be worth our $10 or will it be another day when we wonder why we keep watching?   I get the feeling we’ll keep watching. In any case, it’s hard to call the match order.   The Kick-off Show is on as I type and I would think, considering what’s on offer, I would think the New Day vs. Rusev & Aiden English will probably get kick off duty.   Then…maybe Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler take on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.   Rollins and Ziggler have been solid and I think they would be a good match to set the tone of the evening.   Give everyone a nice baseline to equal.   Then, I’m thinking maybe Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton. This may go on later since Hardy is advertisin

Who Amongst You Can Withstand Hell in a Cell!!!!!...

Well, it shouldn't be too hard, just spectating right 😉 A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! I hope it is treating you well.  Tonight we have the latest SmackDown PPV installment of Hell in the Cell and the main draw is that of Shane McMahon defending his family's honor against Kevin Owens.  This could be a good match but with the underlying theme being Owens' delusional heel-itude, I'm not sure it will have the crackle-pop of a more standard contest.  Personally, I feel that the match between Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode may be the match of the night, though there a lot of places for surprises. I haven't been all too impressed with the lead-up for the tag-team match between The Usos and The New Day but they tend to bring it come showtime.  Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Natalya and Charlotte make us rethink the Women's Division as well.  Both are solid in the ring and shouldn't disappoint.  Outside of that, my money's on Randy Orton and Ru

I Know! What About a SMACKDOWN! ...Too Soon?...

Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts. Yes, I know, it’s still a little hard to be too jovial with current events hanging in the air as they are but let us try, shall we?  It is the Go-Home SmackDown for Hell in a Cell this Sunday so, they’ll try to get us ready and raring to go for it.  I don’t see why we can’t play along. Looking at what’s been announced, it appears we’ll see if Tye Dillinger is able to keep himself from falling to pieces during a rematch against Baron Corbin.  I say this because his character comes off as one that could be easily...unhinged.  Something in the eyes says, “delicate”.  Corbin, on the other hand, will probably pick on this presumed weakness and we’ll see if that bites him.  Also on the docket, Shinsuke Nakamura will sit for an interview, we’ll see if it’s with or without mouthpiece.  And the New Day will hear what The Usos have to say regarding their "rights".  So far, I haven’t been displeased with this light rivalry but I believe th

Being Too Ruthless Often Leads to a SmackDown...

Just saying...😉 How Goes It, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW was a much cleaner episode than I can remember so, it’s nice to know there is some thought to all this rigmarole.  The best moment of the night would have to be the closing segment with a seemingly “wasted” Neville, absolutely destroyed over the surprise loss to Enzo Amore.  So much so, he just has to take it out on him.  I was not expecting the cheeky follow-up and it did make up for Amore’s unwarranted win.  That sort of drama certainly works.  Keep at it.  This shit shouldn’t make us think too much. Yet, speaking of contemplation, on Smackdown tonight, we have a few concerns to address.  Shane McMahon will confront the “delusional” Kevin Owens regarding the showdown set for Hell in a Cell.   And Shinsuke Nakamura will have a retort for Jinder Mahal’s “tasteless” display last week.  Now, I was a little surprised to see that segment make the news because the way I read it, either the Media doesn’t get what the WWE is
