Being Too Ruthless Often Leads to a SmackDown...
Just saying...😉
How Goes It, Enthusiasts!
Well, RAW was a much cleaner episode than I can remember
so, it’s nice to know there is some thought to all this rigmarole. The best moment of the night would have to be
the closing segment with a seemingly “wasted” Neville, absolutely destroyed over
the surprise loss to Enzo Amore. So much
so, he just has to take it out on him. I
was not expecting the cheeky follow-up and it did make up for Amore’s
unwarranted win. That sort of drama
certainly works. Keep at it. This shit shouldn’t make us think too much.
Yet, speaking of contemplation, on Smackdown tonight,
we have a few concerns to address. Shane
McMahon will confront the “delusional” Kevin Owens regarding the showdown set
for Hell in a Cell. And Shinsuke
Nakamura will have a retort for Jinder Mahal’s “tasteless” display last
week. Now, I was a little surprised to
see that segment make the news because the way I read it, either the Media
doesn’t get what the WWE is doing or the crowd doesn’t. To be fair, this bit would probably have
played without much complaint in the South yet, having been in the liberal state of California, which is home to plenty of Asian immigrants and their families, some
alarm was risen. I can’t fully condone
the angle because in this day and age we have to be more open-minded but the
WWE has an interesting situation on their hands.
Oftentimes, when we have an American versus a
foreigner, We the Audience have an innate habit of being patriotic and chant “USA!”,
even if the American party is a Heel and taunts the foreign Face. Yet, in a
battle between foreigners we start to split hairs. All of a sudden, cultural/personal insults
are below the belt? If we’re not
careful, WWE Creative could catch us out and we’ll be the ones with egg on our
faces. We are losing our balance on the line of Hypocrisy. We’re basically saying
it’s okay for We the Audience to be racist but the WWE should know better. Is that how you really want to be known? If I know the WWE, they’ll certainly use that
against us. Can’t call ‘em dumb if you
don’t know what’s up. And if you do, you look even dumber. Let’s see if they
set any traps. Funny tweets get retweeted
and as for Likes/Favorites, better mind your manners as you strive for creative
genius.
See You in a Bit,
