And They're Coming Around the Bend! Eyes Set on the WrestleMania Finish Line...

Happy WrestleMania, Enthusiasts!

So, we can admit it hasn't been the greatest lead-up but for some reason, that snap-crackle-pop! is permeating through the air.  I would say that’s a good thing.  As for tonight’s content, it’s all hard to say.  John Cena is sitting in the audience, acting a “fan” and that’s either to sell the surprise or show that they did all that build for no reason.  If it’s the latter, they better offer up a good alternative.  I don’t care what that alternate is, though.  As long as it entertains.  Let’s go ahead and admit the true “willy-nillyness” of this franchise.  Things are generally done for shits & giggles but all I’m saying if that’s the case at least make it interesting.  Bait and switch us, that’s fine.  Don’t need The Undertaker beating himself up for no reason.  But, if the match does go down, then that’s the real main event but we’ll see.  No guarantee it steals the show.

As for the scheduled main event, I would say that the best way to get the most out of this match is to let Brock Lesnar win.  We all see though Roman Reigns has played his part well, the presentation still doesn’t have us rooting for him.  With the UFC news hovering, if he takes the title, it’s all because Lesnar is leaving.  There’s no suspense.  But if Lesnar wins, that throws everyone into a tailspin of confusion and if it’s a good match on top of that, we won’t care and will be wondering what's going on.  That’s more entertaining in my opinion.  They can do some sort of hand off or new stipulation come RAW.  Just my 2¢.  We’ll see if they press on with their plans anyway.

The match I feel may steal the show and in some cases, they might have to, is the Triple Threat between Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor and The Miz.  They’ve brought some attention to themselves by challenging the kayfabe of the Mixed Tag with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H vs. Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle. So, if they’re going to talk such a big game, they’re going to have to back it up.  I don’t mind if they do, I’m just saying they’ve lost some momentum in the meantime.  Yet, I don’t doubt these gentlemen can perform a great match.  We’ll see if they live up to their own standards.

That brings us to the other big match of note, Ronda Rousey’s debut.  It’s hard to say how straightforward this will be given the participants.  Stephanie McMahon and Triple H aren’t in the ring that often anymore and when they are, it’s for the one-offs such as this.  Rousey's last real ring appearance hasn’t really been since her last fight so, how she handles the faux fight night will be interesting.  This could be plagued by interference and hijinks that may make this more of a physical sketch than actual match but I could be wrong.  Whatever happens, I’m not expecting the match to be "above board".  What say you, Enthusiasts?  Will this be a great night or an evening drenched in disappointments?  They should be shooting for the former.  Funny tweets get retweeted and we should get a few Likes/Favorites.  We can at least enjoy ourselves if all else fails.

See You in a Bit,
