Well, WrestleMania Was....Interesting...

Hello, Enthusiasts!

Did you catch WrestleMania?  Well, it was definitely a spectacle but was it good?  It’s hard to say.  It definitely has us talking but the buzz isn’t exactly good.  It’s more…quizzical.  We just don’t know what’s going on and to be honest, Enthusiasts, we have to admit that we never really do.  As much as we search the Internet for information, it’s hard to say what of it is true and what of it isn’t and so, we should simply admit that we don’t know what the WWE has planned and seeing how this is primarily entertainment, we have to ask ourselves how much we should really care.  For the most part it is scripted so, all we have to do is decide to put our thumbs up or down.

I would say We the Audience are at a crossroads with the WWE right now.  Whether Creative likes it or not, the days of simply churning out shite are quickly coming to a close.  They’re going to have to make some sense and consistently at that.  Not a bad thing but it will prompt everyone to up their games which certainly should have positive repercussions.   Continue to let your displeasure and incomprehension be known.  That way they have to do something about it.

As for the show itself, Ronda Rousey’s debut was the most exciting bit but I feel we were being a bit kind to Rousey.  There’s nothing wrong with that, nice to see we can show some manners sometimes, it’s just I don’t know if we’ll be fully sold on her or just appreciate her scant appearances.  They inaugurated her match by having her do to Stephanie McMahon what Brock Lesnar supposedly did to Triple H a few years back in “breaking her arm” so, I don’t know if they’re going to slap a title on her and get her some sort of “Paulina Heyman” to do the talking while she hops around ready to proclaim her opponents will be sent to “Armbar Town” but, it’s clear she’s supposed to be the one to beat.  In my opinion, they should start her off with Sonya Deville.  She should have at least some sort of rivalry going with everyone who actually knows how to fight.  It would also add some drama in general if all the MMA-ers kinda looked down on the wrestlers.  Wrestlers would have to prove themselves and earn respect.  MMA-ers could get “hazed” WWE style.  Just a thought.

That’s an aspect that might have made the main event with Lesnar and Roman Reigns work a little better.  Again, there’s some lead-up but in the end the crowd voted not to have Reigns their champion and got their wish only to say, “I thought Brock was leaving…”  So, does that mean We would sit and pout and boo until the title changed hands if Reigns had won?  Careful, Audience.  If we show too much inconsistency ourselves, they’ll stop listening.  We would have then proven we don’t know what’s going on.   I would have been fine with Reigns winning if it was set-up right but it wasn’t and that is what we must generally make clear.  The whole thing came off useless and what is the point of a useless match at WrestleMania?  The point of the matter is that the WWE has to start proving why its best in doing what it does.  Otherwise, why is it wasting its own money?   We’ll eat it, if it tastes good.  Think last night will bring about a new dawn for the WWE?  They gotta do something. That much is for certain.   We'll see what they do tonight.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Like/Favorites, I think we should definitely hold out for complimentary content.

See You in a Bit,
