SmackDown Has Been Way More Extreme & Stayed Focused on the Work...

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts!

So, RAW wasn’t bad but there are a lot of looming questions.  Mainly, who will face Brock Lesnar for SummerSlam?  So far, we have Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns offered up and We the Audience aren’t really feeling either option.  True, Braun Strowman lurks with the Money in the Bank briefcase but…though I know plenty wouldn’t mind the match of Strowman vs. Lesnar, I still feel Lesnar would object.  Or it would be booked as a squash match and it’s Strowman playing keep away with the title until Creative gets bored.   My point is, I’m not really jazzed for SummerSlam just now.  Can it be fixed?  Sure, but will it be?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  They may want to consider inter-brand titling.  Like, AJ Styles should be a contender for Lesnar and that means potentially a wrestler could wear both the WWE Title and the Universal Title.  Maybe that was what they were alluding to in the opener with Lesnar doing just that with WWE’s Universal Title and UFC title.  Problem with that thinking is that one of them is real and fought for, the other is decided and performed.  Not sure the Kayfabe transfers over.  But it could work in the WWE Universe.  Yeah, I know.   How does Styles box Lesnar?  He’ll have to figure that one out and Strowman can always spoil the soup.

Anyway, SmackDown now has to show the fallout from Sunday’s Extreme Rules and start turning our attention to SummerSlam.  Well in order to do that, Asuka has to think about her loss to Carmella and determine how she’s going to rise again like the Phoenix.  Elsewhere, people enjoy the Team Hell NO reunion but I didn’t really like them together in the first place but, I guess you gotta start somewhere.  Not that I would ever wish Dad (Kane) any harm but kinda glad he has to sit out for a spell.  It's all Daniel Bryan and hopefully he doesn't go out there and kill himself.  Maybe they can do what I’d really like them to do with Dad and have him "oversee".  And at the end of all that, perhaps Shinsuke Nakamura and Jeff Hardy can get a full on match going for the US Title rematch but…I wouldn’t put it pass Hardy kind of “returning the favor” in a quick 1.  So, funny tweets get retweeted and Likes/Favorites, we’ll see what people get going.
