Doesn't Matter If SmackDown Is Tired. They're Here to Deliver....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Tuesday going better than Monday?  Well, let’s hope so.  In any case, so RAW didn’t quite crackle-pop but that may not have been its fault.  Distractions in terms of the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup had would-be watchers decidedly distracted and that alone may have been disheartening.  The main event delivered, though so SmackDown has the delicate task of not so much cleaning up the mess but re-stoking the fire.

Though most don’t have too many good things to say about the WWE product at present, even they are subject to bad nights from time to time.  Last night may just have fell flat.  Not the end of the world.  Segments like the ones for the 24/7 Title were good examples.  It should be played like this but Creative may have to let the more witty members of the roster run with it.  This segment is good for those who are good with off-the-cuff material.  The key to keep this interesting is to keep it fun and if someone can’t come up with the fast comeback, they’re just slowing down the action.  R-Truth holding it is perfect in this regard.  He may be silly but he gets the slapstick.  This may decide who gets to chase for it.  It should go to those who can keep it a fun time and are able to toss in a pin/throwdown from time to time.  This is wrestling with a side of entertainment.  Gotta be entertaining at the very least.

As for tonight’s action, the New Day reunite as Big E returns to in-ring action.  So that should get the crowd going and set up the customary 6-Man-Tag.  There’s speculation that Roman Reigns may retort to Shane McMahon’s & Drew McIntyre’s gratuitous celebration on RAW while he had to go work in Reno.  We’ll see if it’s just all talk or if Shane and/or McIntyre are around to actually do something about it.  And Bayley may have to work up some momentum since she was defeated in Tag Team action in San Jose, perhaps she’ll make it up to her NorCal brethren in Sacramento.  Whatever they come up with, it’s best to end on a high note.  You know, just to ensure that they know they gotta be professionals out there.  We may not be paying directly but our viewership amounts to something.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, again, we don’t want support bad product but we don’t want to discourage either.  Commend the commendable, denounce the unsuitable.  Let us remain fair so that our word counts for something too.

See You in a Bit,
