SmackDown's On It. It's All About Extreme Rules Now, Right?....

How’s This Tuesday Going for You, Enthusiasts?

I hope you don’t have too many complaints.  I actually don’t have many because RAW was solid last night.  In all honesty, it kinda had to be.  I don’t know if they let someone new take a crack at staging a PPV but they definitely went back to basics on RAW.  Regardless, this could be considered a respectable strategy in the face of AEW.  Opposed to ardently trying to “beat” them, WWE could be viewed as taking the “relaxed” approach.  So what AEW’s holding a stream-free event next weekend, we’ll experiment with the new PPV and see what works.  The WWE can seem too involved with streamlining and developing the product to be concerned with the likes of AEW or any other similar stable.  It’s the WWE and it’s busy.  It could just work.  Jericho’s already trolling.  They should play along.  I would not mind cross-over events in the future.

In any case, as for tonight, the WWE has to continue to be aware.  RAW had to play SmackDown to Stomping Grounds so, what’s SmackDown going to do?  Well, it should bring us into the hangar, so to speak.  Extreme Rules isn’t for 3 weeks so, it’s best to put Stomping Grounds to rest and establish the new set of circumstances.  It’s got to keep it interesting and fun but, being SmackDown, we should get a few solid matches tonight and some more preliminary Extreme Rules set-up.  They plan to do that with Kofi Kingston having words for the very rude Samoa Joe.  At some point, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre are going to show up to let us know how The UnderTaker should keep his old, washed-up ass at home, never mind Roman Reigns.  Bayley will be keeping her eyes open, ready for her next battle and Daniel Bryan and Rowan will continue to contemplate climate change.   There’s something here, let’s see if they manage to piece it together.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, keep to your standards out there people.  If they give you nothing to make magic with, don’t force it.
