RAW Believes WrestleMania Will Have to be Twice as BIG to Match the Super ShowDown!!!!...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

The weekend treat you well?  In my case, I took it upon myself to do a little reconnaissance and took a gander at this AEW Double or Nothing PPV or you know, what I could find for free.  After viewing this, I have to double down on my statement of how the WWE doesn’t really have anything to worry about.  In my opinion, depending on whether AEW can establish themselves in the long run, AEW resembles the original TV series, Dallas so the WWE should simply counter by being Dynasty.

For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, in the 80s the ABC network had the prime-time show Dynasty and CBS had Dallas.  They were top shows for years!  I was a little too young when they first came out but they're both on Amazon Prime if you're curious.  For the most part they were similar, both featured prominent families in the Oil Business.  The big difference was that Dynasty was the classy option while Dallas was more Blue Collar.   Either way you got a full helping of scandal and melodrama.  I saw the same difference between AEW and the WWE.  AEW is very bawdy. It definitely had a raucous, Indie feel and its content reflected the same.  In contrast, though the WWE’s content can be questionable at times, it doesn’t feel like an Indie event.  The production values are high and you generally feel that you’re witnessing a professional event.  You know things won’t get too rowdy and that there is a general sense of order permeating.  I think the WWE should maintain that distinction.  It’s been around long enough to consider itself the “fine wine” of the industry.  Yes, it often tastes sour but if they’re smart, they’ll start to tighten things up.  If they’re serious about being the best representative in this business, then they’ll probably expect a little more from the roster.  When I say that, I mean that matches should be “clean”.  They should make a concerted effort to push wrestlers to refine and effectively execute their moves and general action.  Promos should be cleanly performed, technique should be obvious in the ring.  If the WWE is the best, that should be clear in the wrestling and content we witness.  In that case, it will just boil down to a matter of preference.  If you prefer a more rough & tumble vibe, AEW is more for you anyway.  But if you like the safety of a well-established stable and "pristine" performances, you’ll stick with the WWE.  And in most cases, I’m sure the bulk of us will watch both.  Rumor has it that AEW is eyeing a Wednesday night TV slot so we won’t have to choose and in most cases, a lot of us will probably watch after the fact anyway.

In any case, back to the familiar world of the WWE.  It’s the Go-Home Show of RAW for the Saudi Arabia Super ShowDown and we can expect to see the Dead Man cut a promo on how Goldberg should simply keep the gear packed up.  Who knows, they may surprise us with Goldberg as well.  We also are scheduled to witness Brock Lesnar drop in and take his title back from Seth Rollins per Paul Heyman’s Twitter statement.  I think it would be funny if they treated this like the 24/7 Title and have Lesnar just come in and literally take it from Rollins.  Rollins could be hanging out in catering and Lesnar just waltzes in, kicks his ass and takes what has basically always been his.  I know people wouldn’t like that but it would be hilarious if done right.  This is basically what the Universal Title has become, the WWE might as well own up and play Lesnar like we see him.  He decided to take the money, so he’ll take that title back while he’s at it.  I think it’s funny but I know plenty who don’t have my sense of humor on the matter.  Just calling it like it is, why not laugh about it.  Anyway, funny tweets get retweeted and for Likes/Favorites, let’s see if the WWE can manage some wit.  It’s not impossible, just highly unlikely.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
