For Once, RAW Earned Its Keep...SmackDown?...

Happy Black Friday, Enthusiasts!

Did Thanksgiving go well for you?  Mine was…eye opening to say the least.  Regardless, it’s Friday and though many of us have the day off, SmackDown has to work mainly because there should be more people than usual sitting around the house.  Cold temperatures and people geared for shopping have many staying in and that’s something we should expect SmackDown to take advantage of.  Not to mention that RAW was actually quite action packed this past Monday. It was more exciting than Survivor Series, which should be reviewed by WWE higher ups, but say what you will, they held their side down.  SmackDown now has to keep pace and recalibrate us for TLC set for December.

What’s advertised is scant.  Apparently Bray Wyatt will have a new addition to his Firefly Fun House.  I’m sure he’ll have some words for newly Heeled Seth Rollins.  I’ll get more into him come RAW, but I will say Rollins should have fun this time around.  I’ve been voicing time and time again that the WWE needs to utilize humor more.  This would account for a lot of the loose ends that tend to get left dangling.  Poking fun at itself and glossing over the more questionable segments with some humor would aid in guiding We the Audience into not taking the content too seriously.  Many fans are fanatical about this sort of thing and the real root of the matter is that there may not actually be enough going on for people to be that invested.  WWE should alleviate some of this pressure to perform by throwing in more bits of humor to make it clear that this is entertainment above all else and we should be having a good time, not breaking down all the ways that the WWE sucks.  Energy generally should be applied to more important matters anyway.  The Holidays should be making that clear.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean we want to sit down and watch a bunch of crap.  RAW made things interesting, what does SmackDown have to offer?  Here’s the time to show us.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, we got a few weeks until TLC so, the slow burn should be what they’re after.  Hopefully, this Firefly Fun House sets the scene for the new feud which I hear may be set on Roman Reigns to build for TLC.  You know, if I had a say, I’d say Reigns shouldn’t buy this “Fiend” business whenever he’s set to face him.  His character appears too rooted in a day-to-day to be concerned with the ravings of some guy in a mask.   Hopefully, he finds a way to have fun going, “I don’t get it…”

See You in a Bit,
