RAW Has to Clean Up Its Own Mess This Week...

Happy Monday to You, Enthusiasts!

Hopefully, many of you had the day off.  I, however, was not so lucky but I won't complain.  Traffic and workflow were light today so, why would I?  So, let's get to the matter at hand.  These interesting new wrestling times continue as RAW does its UK stint amidst SmackDown nailing their show last week and AEW’s recent PPV over the weekend.   Seeing how what we last saw from RAW was lacking inspiration, they now find themselves in a position where they must perform.  Yet, will they actually up their games?  Hmmm, hard to say.  RAW seems to operate under delusion sometimes.  That’s fine if that's the point but if they really think they’re bringing it right now, someone may have to issue a very rude awakening.

Advertised information is scant at the moment.  We’ve got Lana to continue the side-drama no one asked for by dropping some sort of “bombshell”.  Get the feeling she’s “pregnant” and we may just get that Jerry Springer episode after all.   Also, Seth Rollins will get introduced to the chosen RAW compatriots who will battle alongside him for Survivor Series.  We’ll just have to wait and see when it comes to Rollins but as for Lana, this could be a funny aside if they actually made this angle funny.  That’s what they’re going to have to do from here on out because no one is reading the scripted torture.  Instead of being purposely bad, it’s just bad and that’s simply cringe-worthy.   No one is angling for cringe and this angle is like cringe and nails on a chalkboard.   An over-the-top “Springer Show” may just save this.

They got to call it when the performers/wrestlers can’t sell the content.  The only way this sort of thing works is if the players have fun with it and they seem to be cringing along with us.   That’s not the kind of break of character you like to see.   Makes you question why you’re watching it at all.  RAW can’t afford that sort of response.  They’re clearly the ones bringing up the rear.   They can’t keep ending up the butt of the joke unless that’s the point and I don’t see it being set-up that clearly.  SmackDown’s ratings were solid last week so the incentive to perform is there.   Tonight, we shall gather ‘round and see if RAW gets what’s actually going on right now.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well we got about what, a little over 10 days until Survivor Series?  The action should start to churn about now, we shouldn’t have butter just yet but we should be able to see the transformation.  Feel free to speak up if the whole thing goes sour.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
