RAW Is Currently Setting the Tone...
Greetings Enthusiasts!
How is this Monday going for you? It’s windy and cold in my neck of the woods,
after a warm weekend. Not uncommon for
Southern California in the winter.
Before we get into RAW let us
just touch a little bit on SmackDown. Many may have felt we were made to witness
the dragging out of a long played out feud but to me, I feel it was more
bringing closure to a matter. We did
have little resolution from the “Dog Food Incident” and payback came full
circle last Friday. As I joked on the
Twitters, it was quite clear to be me that they used chili for the most
part. They may have tossed in a can or 2
of actual dog food for some continuity but it looked like a bunch of canned chili
to me. I suppose that’s the smell Baron
Corbin could live with. I wouldn’t be
surprised if it takes a while to get the dog food smell out.
My only
note I have on this segment was that at the beginning of the night, Corbin
called our representatives of the Bloodline “savages” and I have to say that
the WWE may want to rethink how Heels are represented as there’s no way they can
condone racist sentiments in this day and age.
Even if this is to get heat from the crowd, the key to being a good Heel
is getting people to like you anyway. I
think Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens have found good middle grounds. A Heel has to be able to gain fans and with
that said, you don’t want to cater to fans you can’t support. I won’t be naïve and think there aren’t a
good bit of prejudiced types that love the WWE but it being a global company,
it can’t exactly be bothered with that sort of ignorance. They
may just want to watch it with the barbs.
It’s so easy to offend nowadays, even if the players already know the
script. They can tease The Usos about their
arrest records or how the lot of them look like they steal purses but we can’t
call out anything they can’t help. And
that goes for everybody. The WWE shouldn’t mind a pruning/purging
process when it comes to bad fans anyway.
They know they got a lot of them.
In any cases, when it comes to tonight’s
action for RAW it’s hard to say how
it will go. Apparently, there’s a snow
storm in effect in Salt Lake City, UT and would-be patrons may simply not be
able to get to tonight’s festivities. I
remember one similar night in the past.
I think it was a Connecticut show that got snowed in. Seeing how with the WWE the show must go on,
who knows how they will account for tonight. What’s circulating is that there’s to be a Triple Threat between, Bobbly
Lashley, Ricochet and Seth Rollins to determine the #1 Contender against Brock
Lesnar for the Saudi Super Showdown III.
Also, Randy Orton is supposed to explain his big, bad self as we wait
for Edge’s test results to see if Edge can still play. We’ll
see how much of that comes to pass. So,
funny tweets will still get retweeted but as for Likes/Favorites, let’s not be
too stingy. Extenuating circumstances
and all. Let’s show we can be reasonable
and give them a good faith pass. Gives SmackDown a chance to catch up.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole
