SmackDown Comes Through to Lay the Street Markers So We Can See How to Get to TLC.
They’re looking out for our safety 😉
A Pleasant Friday Evening to You, Enthusiasts.
I hope things are going
well for you. You know, as well as they can be. So, there’s actually some
interesting “news” floating around. Let’s get right into it. The first thing
that’s of interest is the fact that Keith Lee and Otis among a few others have
been “ordered” to return to the Performance Center for additional training. I
can sort of see why. Everyone named is of a larger physical comportment than
most and I think they have to work harder to ensure that themselves and others
aren’t injured. That’s a lot of weight moving around. A false move could
actually be fatal. I don’t see the harm in them cleaning up their games. They
have to show first and for most that they’re professional out there. I think it’s
a good sign if it’s true. A standard of excellence needs to be maintained. The
one thing WWE has got going for them right now is that it is chock full of
talent. If that starts to get sloppy it could be downhill from there. Take it as
a sign that someone cares.
On an AEW note, it
looks like there could be some mild grumblings about Snoop Dogg’s dealings. He’s
been quite visible on AEW programming and there’s some talk that WWE isn’t
happy about it. I don’t know if they really have a say. I know Snoop has some
history with WWE but I would consider him a veritable free agent. He’ll do
business with anyone who gives him a good reason. If I had a say, I’d play into
this thinking and try to “poach” Shaq to the WWE again. There was talk in the
past but nothing substantial ever solidified. And that’s kinda would be the
running gag too. He’d show, maybe do a promo. Get into antics backstage but I
don’t really need to seem him in the ring per se. Maybe participate in a brawl
but if he’s not in the right shape, don’t force it. The thing about this
wrestling world is that it is best to stay in one’s lane. If one doesn’t have
the chops, don’t try to acquire them. Stick to what you can do well and expand
from there. You don’t want to have to think about it in this world. After this
blows over they can maybe make a play for Snoop too. This sort of thing
generates buzz which is always useful.
Another rumor going around
is that Goldberg may be set to face Roman Reigns again sometime soon. There’s
some speculation it may be for WrestleMania 37 but there’s also word that that’s
malarkey. What is true is that there’s some social media mess getting talked
between Goldberg and Reigns and if they can light this feud just right, they
may be able to finagle a fun match. That’s going to be the key to drumming up
some interest. Making it seem like it’s worth watching. Goldberg is only
getting older, so if they’re going to do it, do it but I would maybe do it at the
Royal Rumble or one of the preliminary PPVs leading up to WrestleMania. The
facts just don’t make this an ideal match but it could be a pleasant surprise.
If they keep themselves real about it, we may just get a decent match. Don’t
hold your breath.
Anyway, that brings us
to tonight’s SmackDown. The Go Home
shows are next week so this show may be filler. Looks like some of the less
played players will get some airtime. Montez Ford is going to go solo for a day
and take on Dolph Ziggler. Big E and Sami Zayn will see if they work well together
in a non-title bout. And Sasha Banks and Carmella will make their title match
at TLC official. Outside of that remains to be seen. So, Funny tweets get
retweeted and as for Likes well, that is a rare thing. I think I’ve only done
it once or twice so don’t angle for it. Let the genius come to you and you may
just achieve the impossible.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
