RAW Checks to See If It Has Money in the Bank...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.

Though, there are some less than pleasant events to discuss. I still want to take a moment to greet you but yes, let’s not dally. Let’s get to what’s happening in the wrestling world.

So, the first piece of unfortunate news is that “Mr. Wonderful”, better known as Paul Orndoff has passed. I am unfamiliar with the gentlemen but many are offering condolences for his passing and so I shall do the same. Sincere condolences to his close relations. Let us hope that he has found some peace in his journey. He wasn’t that old at only 71 but it sounds like a culmination of ailments took their toll. This sort of thing is always too bad.

The other bit of bad news is that Naomi has resorted to deleting her Twitter account in response to cyberbullying. The rumors speak of people blaming her for Jimmy Uso’s troubles. Talk about a load of crap. Jimmy has made it clear that he’ll go and make a mistake, what is she supposed to do about it? He’s a grown-ass-man, he can account for himself. If he’s got any sense, he better be pampering Naomi right now. She’s putting up with a lot of shit. As for the cyberbullies, they can suck a fat, nasty dick! The unfortunate consequence of public anonymity is that some people feel it gives them free reign to project malice and hate. Now, I do speak my fair share of shit and I do so anonymously but I have no intention of bullying. What I do is take the Mystery Science Theater 3000 idea and apply it to RAW and SmackDown. That’s it.

It’s light riffing at best though I may go for the jugular sometimes, notice how I never “@” anyone or spew much vitriol. WWE gets the worst from me and it’s all warranted. When they produce better product, you hear less shit from me. It’s that simple. If it sucks, I let loose. That’s the long and short of it. I never get in anyone’s face and sure as hell don’t cyberbully. These people should be ashamed of themselves because they have left digital records of how shitty they actually are. I’m sure those who know them already know they’re not worth a damn. I don’t blame Naomi for removing herself. That is the mature thing to do. I hope she returns someday soon but for now, let the woman have some peace. The fucking nerve of some people. Let Karma have at them.

All right, in lighter news, Brock Lesnar has resurfaced at a Ohio butcher shop to try his hand at cutting up a carcass all while rocking a new look and you know what, I’m down with it. It shows he can have a little fun which is something you don’t really assign to him since he’s the “Beast Incarnate”. He’s just supposed to stand there until someone points and says, “Destroy!”. So, to see him partake in butchery not only adds to the mystique but gets the proverbial imagination going.

Hopefully, the idea is to set him up with a match against Bobby Lashley. Since all the talk seems to be leading to a Rock vs. Roman Reigns showdown in the next year or 2, no point in muddying up those waters with the same old, same old. Not to say I wouldn’t want to see them throw-down again but we all know that the set-up is key. We don’t want to just see Lesnar vs. Reigns, not when it’s been done to death. But if it’s set up with proper motivation, it could be a delightful time indeed.  Maybe after Lashley as midway lead up to The Rock? Here’s where it gets tricky, though. Why would Lesnar hang around to take losses? We all know he’d be banking a ton of money but for the “L”? How do you stay the monster when you lose? That’s why I’m not angling for a gig with these people. These are pressing questions with no simple answers. Well, WWE has some time and incentive. Let’s see if they can keep it all interesting. I know it doesn’t seem like it but I do root for them. Think of all this as “tough love”.

And so, this brings us to tonight. Remember it’s Go Home Week for Money in the Bank so we’ll see if they start revving things up. Also, tonight’s RAW is taped so let’s hope at the very least they edit together a decent show. Shouldn’t be any excuse, right. It’s also the last time in a long while that WWE will have a fan-less show as they return to road on Friday. I love how the pandemic got some things straight, the importance of fans, especially. The main reason I started this blog is because I thought that WWE was generally disrespecting us. It turns out that certain parties may just be too full of themselves. With AEW selling out shows and WWE not sure when the last time they did that, the real task is clear. They’re getting something wrong and so if they want to keep that bloated sense of importance, they’re going to have to measure up. Let reality always do the true dirty work.

As for RAW, there’s some stuff going on. Xavier Woods is going to take on Bobby Lashley. John Morrison and Ricochet will box yet again in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, note how old habits die hard. Sheamus gets the all clear to have a dance with Humberto Carrillo over the US Title. Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross and Naomi are set for a Fatal-4-Way. We’ll see if Naomi is in the mood to wrestle. Besides that, AJ Styles will keep himself fight ready courtesy of Ivar and Omos will get some ring time with Erik. As for everything else, we’ll have to wait and see. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Mondays are always up in the air so, if you’re going to get a Like, now is more than likely the time. SmackDown makes it hard for me to ridicule. RAW doesn’t know how to get much else. Do with that, what you will.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
