SmackDown Aims to Make a Reduction for Money in the Bank
Happy Friday, Enthusiasts.
You can color me vaccinated. Not that it matters that much but I got
my last shot today and so far so good outside of a little arm soreness.
Hopefully, that’s the worst of it. Anyway, we’ve got a few things to chat about
in the wrestling world. Let’s knock it around, shall we.
So, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins legalized their union. They are now Mr. & Mrs. Congratulations to the young family! I got a good feeling about
them. They appear to be together for the right reasons and I think they’ve
already passed the 2 year mark in terms of being an item so, there’s a good
chance it lasts for a least a good while. May it be until death do they part
but you know, I’m not going to be surprised if something more realistic
transpires down the line. Let us just wish them well.
Not too surprisingly, Roman Reigns redirected focus back to kayfabe by
starting to make outrageous claims about how awesome he is. I love a deluded
heel. That’s entertainment! 😉 Reigns is just doing his job so he’s nice and
ripe to catch a beating from someone. Now, it’s hard to say that he’ll actually
suffer a defeat at present because most anticipate the end game being The Rock
next year. Yet, given the repetitive
nature of WWE, they may switch things up just to appease fan boredom. Many also
feel John Cena may make an appearance at SummerSlam to knock some sense into
him. I’m not against any of it. Aside for some questionable timing with the
Superman Punch, Reigns has been solid for the better part of this year. All he
really has to do is have fun. It’s a good place to be. Glad he finally got
there.
In any case, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. Well, Uncle Edge is back and he’s just as grizzled and ornery
as ever and he wants himself a big ole chunk of Reigns. I can imagine after
being “humiliated” at WrestleMania. After Edge’s epic return he’s reduced to
comedic foil for some deluded punk! I
can understand him just not having that. Don’t know if he takes out Reigns fair
but I don’t need the takedown to be clean, just effective. Rumor has it that
Reigns may have some words for Uncle Edge tonight. And we all can settle in for
a nice long, Last Man Standing Match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Let’s
hope it’s the last faceoff for at least until after SummerSlam. I know their
paths will cross from time to time, that’s not the issue. They just shouldn’t
be intertwined at the hip. It’s too obvious someone is just hitting repeat.
These are the problems WWE has to account for. As much as they assume 10-year-olds are
watching, they simply aren’t. Besides, they’d probably get bored with it too. These are the truths they have to face. Let’s
see if they get out in front for the crowds or they won’t have much of them to
play to. Always remember, it will be their loss. Funny tweets and Likes get
retweeted. Remember, you’re angling for a Like but those are rare so, just try
to keep it funny. You might luck up.
