RAW Gets Comfortable in the New Year...

 A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts.

How is it treating you this time around? Good? I’ve had better but that’s neither here nor there. A bad one is bound to come up from time to time. Regardless, there is some chatter in the wrestling world. Shall we add a bit to it?

So, the Royal Rumble is the big deal this time of year and naturally, we’re seeing who’s making their bid. We have Johnny Knoxville making an appearance and Mickie James is walking through the “Forbidden Door”. There’s also talk that someone else may do the same so naturally everyone has their guesses. For me, I’d offer Kenny Omega just because it seems like the one thing that would never happen. I don’t know where he is in terms of recovery and word on the Social Media is that he’s got some COVID side effects. Makes me think he got the booster or vaccinated. With the Rumble at the end of the month, it’s not impossible but that’s just my long shot. 

Some people suggest Miro/Rusev and that would be appropriate to me. His parting with WWE was somewhat warranted as much as Miro seemed scorned. Yet, he did break kayfabe and though it’s all bullshit, that is a no-no. There has to be repercussions. Yet, WWE is strangely forgiving. They let ample water run under the bridge and if one appears to be open to reconciliation, a reconciliation can be reached. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the beginning of a course correction. Rusev and Lana are somewhat made for WWE. I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if they ever return. We’ll see if our jaws drop, whoever the surprise is.

In other news, we may have to settle for promos from the likes of Sasha Banks. She suffered a foot injury at a recent house show and will be out 6 - 8 weeks. She’s so slight I don’t know how she doesn’t get beat up more. Nevertheless, let us hope for a full recovery. Can’t say she doesn’t have a place out there.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s action. RAW seems to be having fun with Brock Lesnar around and he appears to be enjoying himself too. He and Bobby Lashley will get some airtime. Word is that Alexa Bliss will soon be back on TV, we’ll see how that goes and the ladies in the form of Piper Niven, Bianca BelAir and Liv Morgan will battle for a shot at Becky Lynch and the title. Besides that the Alpha Academy will take another shot at RK-Bro, this time for the title as well. Early reports suggest this doesn’t go to plan. Can’t see that as being a bad thing (^_~) Funny tweets and Likes are retweeted. So far, it looks like WWE is proving me right. The goal is profit. That means a better overall show on the regular. Could that be what’s in the works? Too soon to say but it certainly wouldn’t hurt.
