WrestleMania XL - RAW Fallout

What’s Going On, Enthusiasts!

WrestleMania XL is over and the landscape has changed. The Reign of Roman Reigns is no more. Same goes for Seth Rollins as the Heavyweight Champion. GUNTHER has to find something else to do and so does Iyo Sky. The Men’s Tag Team Titles have been split and I’m not sure where the Ladies’ stand. I don’t believe it was contested. So…what happens now? Well, that’s what Fallout is for.

Before we contemplate the future, let’s talk a little bit about last night. Not too many surprises, to be honest, as Titles changing hands and Damian Priest “cashing in” was all anticipated. I enjoyed Day 2 more on the whole but both Day 1 and 2 had satisfying conclusions. I thought that there would be more hijinks in the main event, though. It was no surprise that the Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa jumped in at the end but that giving way to John Cena and then The UnderTaker were nice touches.

Why I never got the UnderTaker was kinda exemplified last night because I just don’t buy the man being “otherworldly” but fans popped so, mission accomplished. I won’t knock it. So, now we’re made to pledge fealty to the honorable Cody Rhodes and we see how long he shall reign. This is where it gets interesting because, I don’t know what happens from here.

Judging by the spoilers, The Rock may make some concessions to our new champion. We don’t anticipate seeing Roman Reigns anytime soon as the shock of defeat no doubt triggers some sort of “existential crisis”. He’ll either fall further into delusion or have a “wake up call”, guess it all comes down to what’s more interesting to watch. We shall see.

And so, as you know, tonight’s RAW will be all about last night’s Fallout. We will hear from our new Champion in Cody Rhodes. Our old Women’s Champion in Rhea Ripley will continue to strengthen her hold. Sami Zayn will see what the Intercontinental Championship belt feels like around his waist. And I’m sure Damian Priest will strut through at some point. We’ll see if he’s watching his back. We all know that jumping fools isn’t beneath Drew McIntyre. And our new RAW Tag Team Champs in the “Awesome Truth” (R-Truth & The Miz) will get some ring time now that they need to show up and defend.

I have no idea what the future holds but will sit here and watch it unfold. You’re more than welcome to join me. I’ve been here for 10 years, don’t see why I’d peace out now. I guess we can say the worst is behind us. Still never thought I’d see the day. Unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PDT. If you weren’t partial to the old guard, pick your platform and play along.
