RAW Does Double Duty for BackLash...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Everything in its right place? You know, for the most part? Well, it doesn’t have to be all sorted out. We can take a break and partake of some wrestling. There are some things to talk about. Again, my mind isn’t blown but it’s something to kick around. Let’s get into it.

We’ll start in the Realm of AEW mainly to say, “Get well, soon…” to Darby Allin. Of all people, he gets hit by a bus. And still manages to see a show no less as well. So, we can officially say nothing to this guy. He may be 130lbs wet, but would you still be standing after getting hit by a bus? The man earns newfound respect no matter what you think of him. Let’s hope he fully recovers.

In the WWE Universe, Drew McIntyre fans can breathe a bit easier as news broke, perhaps by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, that he signed a new deal. This, I feel, is the right thing. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not sure where else he works. He’s more of a performer than a wrestler so, I’m not sure AEW would ever really do it for him. TNA is having a bit of resurgence but it seems more suited for more the “Everyman” sort of wrestler. That is probably why Nic Nemeth/Dolph Ziggler and Mustafa Ali are excelling there. McIntyre has the size and general look so and is a great Heel so I’m not surprised this is where he belongs. I look forward to seeing him around.

So, that basically brings us to tonight’s RAW. It seems to be focusing more on the Draft but this is also a Go-Home Show as Le BackLash is this weekend. Word is that ratings for last week’s SmackDown we’re lowest of the year so far so, looks like fans in general don’t care that much about it. Given how last week went, can’t really blame them. Like 2 people switched brands. Not exactly a shake up and with all the main players either on break or recovering from injury, we’re kinda stuck with the “B-Squad” by default. Doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun getting to know the new faces.

For tonight, we can expect to see Judgment Day with Damian Priest leading the charge with Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh in tow go up against the makeshift trio of Andrade, Ricochet and Jey Uso so we can have ourselves a 6-Man-Tag. Both Logan Paul and Becky Lynch will be in attendance to say some stuff. And Sami Zayn will face Bronson Reed for the Intercontinental Championship. There are few surprises sprinkled in there so, there’s some incentive to watch. I’d be watching anyway so, if you’re up for it, pick your platform and join the unofficial watch party. It’s what we do.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
