King & Queen of the Ring - RAW Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Enjoying the day off if you have it? I am. Had a nice walk, a nice meal and now I’m doing the blog. It’s a good day. King and Queen of the Ring came and went and it wasn’t bad. Nothing crazy happened but I don’t want my money back, so to speak.

I have to agree with the general consensus and give Match of the Night to GUNTHER vs. Randy Orton. They went out and smacked the shit out of each. Gunther had Orton looking like a big baby out there, all red and upset. Had to take everything back from last post. They just squared up and went to town. Can’t ask for much more.

Becky Lynch gets honorable mention for losing her shit on Dominik Mysterio after her loss to Liv Morgan. I don’t know if that “assist” is gonna get explained but I call shenanigans. I think Dom and Morgan are in cahoots. Looks like Morgan is getting set up for a show down with Rhea Ripley when she gets back. I’m sure Mami doesn’t approve.

The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat was also a good time. Chad Gable, Bronson Reed and Sami Zayn went out there and earned their keep like they were supposed to. Otis seems to be planting seeds for a “break-up” as he fumbled his moment to help the team. We’ll see what’s next for the Alpha Academy’s dark turn.

All in all, it was a respectable show. A little predictable but nothing much to complain about. Everyone fulfilled their contractual obligations. We’ll be on the lookout to see how this all evolves.

In the Realm of AEW, they had their Double or Nothing PPV last Sunday and it had the surprise return of MJF. Guess the rumors were kinda true. Seems to be rocking a new, dressed down persona. I suppose he’s dropping the “entitlement”. We’ll see if that helps the ratings. Welcome back!

Back to the WWE Universe, there will be the customary Fallout on tonight’s RAW. We can expect to see Lynch enact her rematch clause and get another shot at the title against Liv Morgan. This time around it will be in a steel cage. Braun Strowman will knock off some of the ring rust courtesy of JD McDonagh. Rey Mysterio will work out his beef with Carlito in the ring and our newly crowned King of the Ring, Gunther will address his subjects.

We’ll be switching focus to another international show as Clash at the Castle is next. Let’s see how they keep it interesting. Unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PDT. Play along if you’re willing and able.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
