RAW Tells Everyone to Pack Up for King/Queen of the Ring...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Enjoying your Monday evening? Meh, it’s kinda run of the mill over here but that’s okay. Not really in the mood for much excitement. So, there’s some chatter going on but nothing that is piquing my interest so, I’ll keep it to the brief preview of the night’s festivities. Remember, it’s Go-Home Week for the King of The Ring PPV/PLE in the KSA, so this should be a fun-filled night.

What I will comment on is that word is that SmackDown’s ratings were down last week and I just want to interject that some regions don’t play SmackDown at 8pm every week. As you know, I’m in the process of relocating and the city I plan to move to, also in Southern California, sometimes opts to show local team sports rather than SmackDown at that time so it gets preempted and shown later in the evening. This week, it didn’t come on until 11:30pm so, if other, less popular markets do the same, that would have to affect ratings. Luckily, I DVR it for just such occasions as it will still record at 8pm up here in Los Angeles. I’m rarely in the new locale on Mondays so, I can’t say if the same happens to RAW but I doubt it since it’s on cable/USA Network. I’m just saying, sometimes it’s not the fans’ fault when ratings falter. Sometimes, it all depends on where you’re at and whether women’s lacrosse is on instead 🤷

In any case, it’s a slow lead up for the King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments on RAW’s Go-Home Show as, for tonight, we can look forward to Sami Zayn and a semi-delusional Chad Gable to continue their tense beef. Iyo Sky will flashback to her NXT Days and see if Lyra Valkyria is still worthy. The Miz and R-Truth will put their Tag Team Titles up for grabs as the Bantum Celts in Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh team up for a shot at gold. Then, at some point, we’ll see if Jey Uso can somehow get around GUNTHER. I get the feeling Gunther is a bigger draw as long as Jey is solo. I don’t mind Jey getting his Singles footing but it’s gonna take us a while to think of him as not part of a packaged deal. I’m willing to give him a shot, though. Let’s see if he gets a shot to make a win believable.

As for the We, the unofficial watch party starts at 8pm PDT. If you’re willing and able, you’re always welcome. I hope you get the gist of what I do here. It’s just some biweekly fun. Are you up for it? If so...

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
