RAW Clears the Decks for the Main Event...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Having a fair Monday? Mine is pretty chill, to be honest. Usually a lot more going on but I’m not complaining. As for the Wrestling World, there are some things going on. Nothing to set hair on fire but enough to have a decent chat. You up for it? All right, here it goes.

In the Realm of AEW, the Death Riders seem to be having a little problem with getting taken seriously. I saw Jon Moxley and company try to “poison” Orange Cassidy with Listerine and I can see why people are rolling their eyes. This is why I was suggesting things like sending Darby Allin to “Abu Dhabi”. Orange Cassidy can get boxed up and sent off instead if they like. It could be a running bit that no one can get a hold of him for a week or 2 and then he can surprise at the PPV or crash one of the Go-Home Shows looking like hell ‘cause he had to “hitchhike” his way back to the States. They can even dramatize his trials for a promo or something. The whole thing is ridiculous so they might as well have fun with it.

It also adds to the argument that something “needs to be done” about Moxley because who does that?! Then the next time someone gets in Moxley’s face he or one of the cronies should throw a shoe or shoes at this person. Go ahead and ride Pop Culture coattails. A lot of the kids are too young for Austin Powers anyway. Have fun wreaking the havoc.

I suppose what I’m saying is that Mox and Company may be playing the whole thing a bit too straight. The Crowd isn’t entertained.  They can get away with whatever as long as it is fun to watch. My suggestion continues to be, infuse some comedy. The Crowd should be laughing with them, not at them.

If coming up with funny stuff doesn’t come naturally, they may have to look further afield. They should reach out to comedians, preferably those who understand wrestling. They can still be tough and mean but they should also be a little tongue-in-cheek and talk a little more shit. Mox’s rants should have a few zingers towards whomever is next. They shouldn’t be thinking too hard about this. Get nuts and have fun until someone “calls the police” 😉 That’s what I’d do, anyway.

Back in the WWE Universe, everyone is gearing up for the reintroduction of Saturday Night Main Event! this weekend.  There’s also word that Charlotte Flair may be back in the mix sooner than later but we will see if that goes down before the Royal Rumble.

As for tonight’s RAW, we can anticipate Karrion Kross and the Final Testament locked and loaded for a throwdown with the Wyatt Sicks. The Ladies will have some Triple Threat action as the tournament for the inaugural Women’s US Championship heats up. Ivy Nile, Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega will be boxing in this one. Seth Rollins will have a rebuttal for CM Punk and Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez will delve back into their old rivalry for bragging rights.

Unofficial watch party will be at 8pm PST. Stop by if you want to see how the rest of the show goes. Remember, everything is subject to change.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
