RAW Bids Us a Merry Christmas!....

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s a cold one in Southern California but nothing that those used to snow couldn’t handle. As for the Wrestling World, there’s some stuff going on but what caught my eye is more administrative. Some insight on how 2025 is gonna go. Are you up for a brief discussion? Let’s see where it goes.

We’ll stay in the WWE Universe for now as AEW’s stuff appears to be percolating. There’s an “update” on Brock Lesnar’s status going around making it seem like he’s on an unofficial retirement. Given the dirt that came up on him, it’s not surprising. You see how everyone is getting theirs for past unsavory behavior. I think he would have gotten more clemency if he was a more approachable person. His rep, in general, isn’t the best so, when dirt comes out, it’s easy to close the book on him. I don’t really think he’s needed anymore, to be honest. There was a time he served a purpose but now that WWE is finding a more engaging stride, Lesnar can be left by the wayside.

As for weekly shows, SmackDown appears set to get expanded to 3 hours in the new year. I can only think it’s to make up for RAW going to Netflix. The duration is still being debated for the Monday night show but it appears there will be ads during the broadcast. I’m thinking it’ll work more like the PPVs. Get a word from the sponsors between matches n’such. I’m fine with it. I suppose we won’t have to worry too much about buffering. It’s unlikely these shows get more than a couple million viewers at a time. After the Tyson Fight fiasco, I’m sure Netflix can accommodate a WWE audience.

Speaking of that, we arrive at tonight’s RAW. It’s prerecorded also so that the roster can enjoy the Holidays. Not sure about Friday and Next Monday, though. Technically, they can fit it in so, we’ll see. For now, we can expect to see the re-imagined Dexter Lumis continue this simmering beef with The Miz. Alba Fyre and Natalya will face a Mystery Opponent in a Triple Threat for a shot at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. And Drew McIntyre is going to start things off this evening. See how long that lasts before someone busts it up.

The unofficial watch party will commence at 8pm PST. Stop by if your Monday is feeling a little ho-hum. It’s at least a step in a better direction.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
