Elimination Chamber 2023...

What’s Up, Enthusiasts? So, here we are at Elimination Chamber and you know what, I’m intrigued. I don’t think I’d ever honestly be this kind of engaged in the product. I would be intrigued by the possibility of a truly righteous shit show going down but now, I’m curious to see what will happen. It’s kinda cool. First thing is first, the match order. Do you think they’ll start with the Universal Title Match? I would go with the Women’s Elimination Chamber. I don’t think anyone is expecting that much yet they could just as easily set the tone for the show. My money is on Asuka winning but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes to Liv Morgan or Carmella. Nikki Cross could be a wildcard, though. Next match of interest is Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar. Now, this one has been percolating for years and now here it is. Will it be all that we hoped? Well, it’s clearly Lashley’s match to win or lose in both a literal and figurative sense. We all know Lesnar can deliver and Lashley can deliver as

SmackDown Kicks Everyone Out So It Can Prepare for Elimination Chamber...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Hope it’s treating you well. In the Wrestling World, there isn’t all that much that caught my interest but there are a few things to toss around. For the most part, the WWE Universe is preparing for Elimination Chamber tomorrow but before we get into that, let’s see what else is going on, shall we. So, there’s some speculation wafting through after Chris Jericho responded to a fan tweet reminiscing about when Jericho and CM Punk threw down for WrestleMania 28 way back when. Jericho doesn’t mind a tussle with Punk apparently. Does that mean all is mended with our tempestuous modern day icon? Will we see a return to AEW soon? Well, there’s also rumors that Punk and those who he was beefing with haven’t made up at all. Sounds like bad blood still lingers. Unless some sort of mediation is held, I don’t see Punk returning to AEW any time soon. Yet, word is that the AEW ratings haven’t been all that much to write home about either so, his return could serve a pur

How Is Everything Going, Enthusiasts? I will continue not to complain because, per usual, things could always be worse and to be honest, they’re not so bad. As for the Wrestling World, as always, there are things going on but not much has gained my interest. That doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to talk about. Let’s have a little chat. So, the Congratulations goes to the Kansas City Chiefs as they took the Super Bowl trophy this year. There are shots of Patrick Mahomes strutting around with a WWE Title Belt as is customary. I’m glad this was a competitive game. Both teams appeared to be deserving but the Chiefs applied a little savvy at the end and secured themselves a win. Don’t blame ‘em. Gotta do what you gotta do.  In the WWE Universe, we perhaps have a return to anticipate. Word is that a roster shoemaker has received an order from the long injured Randy Orton. Sounds like “The Viper” will be slithering out there soon enough.  To me, that’s great to hear. He’s far from done yet

SmackDown Let's Lesser Known Performers Get a Chance...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s it going for you? Good, I hope. Well, there isn’t that much to chat about but that hasn’t stopped me before. Let’s see what’s going on, shall we? We’ll start outside the WWE Universe as word is that CM Punk could return to AEW in a couple of months should they care to have him. Seth Rollins has been “keeping it real” in regards to Punk and many other wrestlers have been concurring but at the same time, I can’t help but smirk a little. It seems a little all too perfect. Which is why I suggest that Punk play into the myth of himself. With just the right amount of tongue and cheek, his return anywhere could be quite amusing. We’ll see who makes it interesting. In the WWE Universe, people are clamoring for a Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther match, ASAP. Many are hoping for WrestleMania 39 but I think WrestleMania 40 would be more fitting. It allows for proper set-up and all that. I’m not opposed to a showdown. It could be the type of match that brings some validati

RAW Plays with Pacing Ahead of Elimination Chamber...

Happy  Monday, Enthusiasts. How’s it going for you? I’ve definitely had worse ones so you’ll hear no complaints from me. As for this Monday, there is talk going around but not much of it grabs me. Doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to talk about. Let’s have a little chat, shall we? So, SmackDown ended in a most dramatic fashion that I can’t imagine how RAW would match it but it doesn’t really have to. Tonight, we should get the Steel Cage Match that wasn’t between Bayley and Becky Lynch. These two have been conjuring up their past on social media which has been fun to watch and reminisce about. How far both these ladies have come. How will tonight’s match showcase their evolutions? 🤷 We also get some Elimination Chamber lead up as we welcome back Carmella and Piper Niven reclaims her old name. They’ll be involved in a Fatal-4-Way with Mia Yim and Candace LaRae. We’ll see how that goes. If you’ve been paying attention on Twitter, you’ve noticed I’ve had a minor grievance with Yim becau

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   I hope it’s going well. So, there are a couple of things of definite note going on in the wrestling world. Let’s not waste any time and have this little chat.   So, let’s start with the news outside of WWE. It appears Tony Khan, owner of AEW, has a “big announcement” that he’s gonna drop on Wednesday (3/2). One of the rumors is that he acquired Ring of Honor. I can’t even contemplate what that could implicate. Not that it’s bad or anything. ROH wrestlers definitely do it for the love of the game so, that would make AEW even more of an alternative to WWE. Not sure if that improves the quality but the roster is sure to have heart. The implications are interesting to ponder. We’ll see what happens.   As for WWE news, the main headline is that Cesaro left the company. Word is he just let his contract expire. This is unfortunate but most of us would say somewhat inevitable. Cesaro, quite frankly, lacked charisma. He’s a great worker. No one h

Good Morning, Enthusiasts. Hope it’s a good one. I’ll keep this brief because this is already after the fact and I don’t know what to expect really. Doesn’t mean there aren’t some matches I’m curious about. I’ll be catching up later. Got some other business to tend to but should be available to take this all in this evening. In the meantime, here’s what I want to see. The impromptu tag team match of Ronda Rousey & Naomi vs. Charlotte & Sonya DeVille is a match of note mainly due to the stipulation of Rousey fighting with one hand behind her back. The key here is not making this come off as silly. Not sure they do it but that will be what we watch for. Is this an interesting match or just a hackneyed Management idea? We will see. After that, the next match of interest for me is Lita vs. Becky Lynch. Here, we see if Lita still has it, which it looks like she does, and if Lynch can keep it competitive. We know they both can put on a solid match but Lita is no spring chicken. Wil

How’s Goes It, Enthusiasts? I hope this start to the President’s Day weekend is treating you well. So, I won’t be talking about much ‘cause there isn’t that much going on but we all know the bomb that dropped this week. Let’s get right into it. The not so surprising departure of Cody Rhodes from AEW made waves this week and to be honest, I don’t think this is a bad thing. Remember, we can easily conjecture that the whole reason AEW exists is due to a stark disconnect between Rhodes and WWE. I didn’t blame him because he was doing everything he could to make WWE’s crap work and they still didn’t give him credit for it. I would have bailed too.  Yet, the reality for both sides came out in his doing so. AEW was founded and an alternative wrestling source came into being. Yet, that was just what happened. An alternative wrestling source came into being. Rhodes’ audience response proved what we already knew. He’s a “sports entertainer”, born and bred. Also, WWE has plenty to be desired b

RAW Makes Sure It's Packed for Elimination Chamber - Saudi Arabia

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s Go-Home Week for WWE and we’re getting the final wind up for the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia. There’s a lot of buzz given how the Equal Rights sentiment of women wrestling in the event is gaining social awareness. This is not new but to continue to do so in a land where the rights of women are restricted is always commendable. It’s not as bad as Afghanistan but old traditions are often hard to modernize. It’s one of the few things that WWE has going for it at the moment. Let’s hope the ladies enjoy it.   As for what’s cycling through the grapevine, well Brock Lesnar seems to have captured everyone’s imagination. He was on the Pat McAfee show recently, not sure if that’s why he had to miss his announcing duties but that’s what happened. People are charmed by Lesnar speaking for himself for once and I don’t mind the interest. Some sites bemoan this attention because it tends to highlight the main flaw with WWE and how it pins its hopes

SmackDown Does Double-Duty Prior to Elimination Chamber...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   I hope it’s been a good one for you. I’m ready for this week to be over. There’s not all that much to chat about but there’s some interesting news floating about. Let’s kick it around a bit, shall we.   So, let’s start with AEW. Word is a lot of 2019 contracts are up soon. AEW will have to make decisions as to whether to let some go or to renew. What’s interesting here is if they get heat for letting contracts expire. WWE was never known for its tact. Will AEW be more gracious as they let some discover new endeavors? We shall see.   Yet, the big AEW acquisition is Keith Lee. I kinda figured since he just got married. Most wouldn’t plan a wedding with no income coming in. Not that he didn’t do well while in WWE but when times are lean, tying the knot often takes a backseat. He had some sort of assurance.   What stuck out to me was that it looks like Lee gained weight. Now, I don’t ever expect him to get ripped or significantly slim down it’s

RAW Is Going To Try to Make Things Interesting...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts.   Don’t groan. It’s another day and therefore another dollar 😉 There isn’t that much going on but there are a few things worth mentioning. Shall we start the informal chat?   Let’s start off with some happier news as Instagram shows that Mia Yim and Keith Lee finally got married. They had the time and made use. I’m happy for them. They seem to fit so, I’m glad they found their happy ending. May their lives be all that their dreams are made of. Best wishes all around.   In the WWE Universe, we have some more typical grumblings but the nature of them makes me wonder. Remember, you can’t fully trust what you come across in this world. That’s the reality of life in kayfabe. At the very least, half of it isn’t real. So, what is everyone grumbling about? This time around, it’s disapproval of Shane McMahon’s behind the scenes behavior. There are reports that both Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon weren’t very happy with him during the Royal Rumble, seeming to confirm

SmackDown Brings the Official Close to Elimination Chamber...

A Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   How are you doing on this final Friday of February? I have to say things are starting to look up on my end. Not that they were especially, down. Given circumstances, things could have definitely been worse for me but planning and initiative kept my head above water so I can continue to not complain. So, let’s just jump into the world of wrestling, shall we. Let’s see what’s going on.   Before we discuss Big Show, let’s get into some not so unsuspected news. It just caught my eye because he’s been off TV for a while. Murphy seemed to be on the upswing before Seth Rollins went on paternity leave. Now that Rollins is back, Murphy is on his own. Word is that WWE has decided to drop the Aliyah romance angle leaving Murphy with the status of “nothing to do”. Here again is evidence that wrestlers need to have more of an idea of what to do with themselves. WWE will let one try on some dumb shit for size and when it doesn’t work, they just slap some
